Apparently, so I've learned, some gerbil pups need some assistance in eye opening if their eyes are still shut after 20 to 22 days. Once about a year ago, I had a female, Kiroya, who gave birth to a litter of 8. A male, Boldern, had enclosed eyes for 3 weeks. A wet washcloth and sanitary hands make for a happy little gerbil with sight! Love the pups! You really know what you're doing.
hey there, i have a few gerbils myself and i am using aspen bedding which they dont seem to like very much, i moved away from cedar as for some reason it gave them bloody noses, what is it you use?
Hi! I once raised gerbils myself as a young teenage. It taught me the meaning of responsibility. I miss breeding them. I watched all your video's. I was smiling all through out them. I just wanted to say hi to ya. I had raised mine in 10 gallon fish tanks with small chicken wiring lids. The plastics tanks do get chewed on and I saw you had posted that on one thread. umm this was 18 days but ok. lol the gerbil looked like chinese because he just opened them i think its cute that hes blinking and what kind of cage is best and lol he still cant see all the way his eyes are mostly open but a little closed
Awww, and he's not that scared of you ! It is a whole new world for them when they see it for the first time ! :)
