I was at this game and i dont think i will ever forget the experience.I remember waking up that day not knowing wether to bother with going to Love St as all Hearts had to do was draw but Celtic had to score a few goals.The tickets had already been bought and off we went to the game.I remember the amount of Celtic fans in the ground had spilled on to the trackside at the Celtic end,ah those were the days u could squeeze more in that allowed lol. I was a guest at Ibrox Stadium that day... for a meaningless last game of the season for Rangers... When the half-time scores were announced, Hearts 0-0, Celtic 4up... Ibrox fell silent... It meant Hearts now needed to avoid defeat. With 6 mins to go Ibrox errupted into a chorus of "Lets All Laugh At Celtic"... And the same again 5 mins later... Word had spread that Kidd had scored 2 goals... They thought it was Walter Kidd for Hearts... So so funny when the full time scores were announced.

isn't it strange that despite the score at dundee back then that celtic mysteriously scored enough goals to win the league based on hearts losing 1 - 0 (even though they lost 2 -0 in the end). I not trying to sound bitter cos there were a few games where we did drop points and should have done better - just that the result went exactly their way at the exact time required. Even CSI Gorgie couldn't work that one out.

i was 19 my first away game with supporters bus, it was pissing down for the whole game, but we didnt care and even after final whistle we stood there for over an hour after the game. RIP Tommy Burns. Gold bless players like McGrain, Bonner, Burns and McStay who only wanted to play for the shirt.
