This very video was hit by that the past couple of days. YouTube somewhat provided an answer to the problem on the forums... but it's too vague of an answer for most people.
What needs to change about Youtube is all the corporate shit that gets shoved down our throats on the front pages. I also REALLY hate the ads that are superimposed over the videos.
I've never been a fan of the inVideo ads, and unfortunately I'm seeing more of them. I believe that more intrusive advertising isn't the answer to YouTube's financial problems.
About the thumbnail question, I've seen it happen with more than just Partners, but it is annoying when it seems to be taking longer and longer for thumbnails to appear.
Is anyone else having problems with subscription videos not showing up? I have to go to view all to see who has new videos. It seems like only the more popular people are showing up under my subscriptions. Is this another attempt by youtube to diminish the small guy?
I've been having that subscription problem. I just unchecked the box to exclude already watched videos. Of course, videos you've already watched won't disappear, but you should be able to see all of your recent subscriptions.

The 'phantom' messages have affected nearly every part of my inbox at some point. It's a long-going problem that is long overdue for a solution. The YTA inbox says I have over 11500 unread... :O

Does youtube have a plan to provide community vloggers more tools. If so please alert me to this or I will be moving my more so heavy weight content elsewhere for feedback and recognition.
provide some expectation.....this is a powerful search engine.
D. Give the people be given advertising rights for each time we are voted upon. These rights are given when we also vote and when reach a certain total then allow us to advertise. Finally, provide a private voting option which only people we approve can vote and see the polling data. private votes should have time option to stretch accountability and also they should enable the voter to agree upon voting card for efficiency
A. Cable channel options (we can not be all things to all people and nor do we want to try to be so allow us to have a cable station)
B. Under each station allow us to create the polling card, this protects our civil liberties.
C. Allow users to vote on us according to that card up or down.
D. Allow us then to poll results in a search engine. So if I want to find the best artist who values good lighting or the girlfriend who values being good at cooking then let those who voted.....
Is there any where you can help me? My view counter on my last video is broken. It stucks in 207 views since 2 days ago even though more people has put new comments. It is just annoying. Please help. I have tried to post the problem in the community help centre--and it seems that lots of people have the same problem.

Well, I looked at your channel just now, and didn't see any broken thumbnails. I don't know much about the program you are talking about, but if uninstalling it fixes the problem, let me know.
COMODO is firewall software. Uninstalled, no difference. Still a bunch of blanks where there should be thumbnails. Not only on my channel. Also on any channel I look at. But can access vids via their titles. Was using Norton before. Never had a problem with that. May just be coincidental. Anyway, going to re-install COMODO and continue to investigate the issue. Thanks for your effort to help me out.
I have noticed a couple of partners thumbnails (as in their channel icons rather than their video thumbnails) are showing up as the blank camera things-like it does for people who have no videos. I thought maybe they had changed settings for partners and some hadn't updated yet.

Definitely funky goings on here. As I mentioned, a lot of vid thumbnails are just white. Not even the camera icon.
Also, some channel icons have disappeared, Often the channel page color appears instead.
Anyway, if the current YTA is unable to come up with an explanation or a fix, I will do a complete reinstall. Not a process I enjoy. So time consuming.
But that will also clean out junk.that inevitably accumulates. :)
youtube needs a most viewed, most popular most blah blah blah, for users with under 1000 subs. they need to make it easier to get viewed when you just start if you are creating good content. a list like this would make youtube easier to find new users that are good
Sounds like a good idea, it is hard for a lot of great talent to get noticed. I'm subscribed to some great video makers who have very few subs, and one is even a Partner with even less subs than I have.
A significant issue for me at the moment is thumbnails. I don't know if it is my recent use of COMODO, recommended by Chris Pirillo at his Lockergnome website, an annoying but also informative nerd, or a current YouTube glitch, but getting blanks where there should be thumbnails for vids is really pissing me off.
I'm already a few steps ahead of you there. The thumbnail for this very video is still showing up as a 'clock' thumbnail on my end. I know it's somewhat related to browser cache and the new 'algorithm' for choosing thumbnails, but the time it takes for them to appear seems to take longer and longer.

Does Youtube support Favoritism with their videos? should we start feature campaigns where we email bomb great videos that deserve more views?

YouTube seems to encourage people to email them videos you think are great enough to be featured. I know a few instances where it's worked.
