Keep in mind that this data is invaluable for corporations as well as government agencies. They know who you are, they know who you are friends with. They know what you like, what groups you're part of, what interests you have, and the comments you make and 'like' - they know YOU. This helps them determine if you're likely to conform, or if you're likely to fight. Or maybe this could all be one big crazy theory and the kid really did just kill himself before becoming rich.
