They preferred to be a burden to Russian people which fought against Germans. Then Anders Army decided to go to Iran. So what is a problem?

I'm a Pole, two of my great-grand fathers were murdered in Katyń, their wives and children were sent by Soviets to Kazakhstan and barely made it out of there alive, unlike many other Poles. Anyway, I'm not a huge fan of Wajda, but i'm glad that this movie was made, because it's still an unknown tragedy for most of people in the world, and as I once heard- to forget the fallen is to kill them for the second time.

This film is important for me. My Paternal Grandfather,oseph Drzewiecki parished in Katyn. Played violin military orchestra. An odd twist on my mothers side, The Wajda's. Andrzej Wajda is the son of Jakub. Jakub was brother of my Maternal Grt-Grndfther,Wojciech.

My father,Drzewowski(altered name-fear of life) met my mother, Wajda in St. George, Quebec, Canada. How serendipitous that they met on foreign land with such an intertwined history!
