  • dude- i have a geforce 6800 128mb, 256bit will it run this game nicely?

  • @166crazyrider it realy depends on your CPU and RAM. But this video card is enough to run the game if you don't mind shity graphics

  • @HeWhoShamesNarwhals i got 1gb ram, pentium 4 2.8ghz, what do you think?

  • @166crazyrider it will run, but to get good fps you'll need quite low settings

  • WTF...!!!!!

I have a 6600 with twice as Ram as you (256) and my CPU is too at 2000 its a Athlon Pentium 4 2400+ and STALKER and Fallout 3 and some other RPGs that i LOVE make the damn pc reboot

    HELP!

  • @joaoa13portugal Maybe your video card is overheating. Or the CPU.

  • @joaoa13portugal Yeah man its ur CPU, i had this problem with my GeForce 6200

  • @joaoa13portugal what the fuck is your processor athlon p4 2400+?

Fusion of Amd And Intel Are u fucking kidding me?

  • i have the same graphics card as you but mine still lags and yours doesnt seem to as much, plus your mouse moves really smoothly while mine is slower and it takes forever to navigate my pipboy sometimes

any suggestions on which settings i should change the game to?

  • How did you get this to work? I have everything turned to low. My pc is:

    celeron 3.06ghz

    1.5gb ram

    geforce 6600gt

Only my card is the agp version. But That shouldn't severely impact performance like this. I can only get about 10-12 fps max

  • I got an old 7800gtx (256mb) card you can have, if you pay shipping you can have it.

  • what settings would a computer with a Intel core duo 2.93 GHz and a Geforce 8600 GTS run this on.. i just wanted to know so i can decide whether to get this for PC or PS3..

  • @tyeb29 I think you can run it in high settings with no problems.

  • Please someone help I don't kno where else to go where I don't need to be a member but my computer is a Dell dimension 8400 CPU is pentium 4 3.0 ghz hard drive 80 gig Sara memory is 2 gig ddr2 operating system is windows xp home sp3 with updates modem 56k modem sound max and video card is a Radeon x300 series will this game work please answer if u can

  • That's not very bad.

  • why you changed your 6600GT for a 6600GS? 6600 GS is lower than GT :/

  • @kitsune0video 6800 GT. It was better than 6600GT. I've changed it because something in power supply of video card has fucked up. So I was unable to play anything. :P

  • @vashpl oh i read bad the number sorry xD

im curious, i have a 6600GT, how much diference between this and the new one? i mean.. how many fps you get more with the new in for example fallout3

  • @kitsune0video TBH I don't remember. :) But, playing on 6800 GS was way more comfortable on higher settings - on 1280*720. So yeah, there's a difference. Also I was able to run Race Driver GRID on lowest settings, which was impossible to run on 6600 GT.

  • @vashpl if a graphics card is good enough can it run most of the game itself? because as far as i know a graphics card makes the graphics and visuals better but even with a really good one it could still lag like !@#$ because you have to have something else thats really good to run it to.

  • @grekor84 Remember that for now CPU is mostly used for realtime physics, data streaming, AI and some others. If you have shitty CPU, game will still lag as hell even on GF GTS 250. Still - you need appropriate amount of RAM. 2 GB at least.

  • @vashpl so what your saying is im most likely going to have to spend a rediculas amount of fucking money witch i dont have if i ever want to run any game with even medium settings? also my comouter had an ati card b4 and now it has and nvidia one so catalyst or whatever its called keeps giving my crap about the video card is not supported therefore ive had alot of texture errors when i play alot of custom maps on l4d2 theres invisible props and walls and shaders make the colors freak out.

  • @grekor84 Dude. ATi and nVidia are different video card companies. So their video cards have DIFFERENT drivers. Uninstall those from ATi and then install those from nVidia.

  • @vashpl if i uninstall the ati drives could it fix any framerate issues or texture problems im having in other games?

  • @grekor84 Yes. Probably. ;)

  • @vashpl how would i go about doing that?

  • @grekor84 playtool.com/pages/uninstallgraphics/uninstall.html - try this.

  • wow i have 3.6 ghz and it runs better on yours

  • i want a new pc but my mom wont let me until i get better grades but i already failed this semester is ther any other way i can convince her to buy it

  • @drako168 ahahahaha...how unlucky of you? i HAD the same problem as you... and we might as well be the same age...but methinks what you lack is determination...well i was asking my dad for an AMD AthlonX2 2.8Ghz 2GB of Ram and a GeForce 8400gt in 1024MB GPU....and guess what? I got them! just for a mere increase in my grade increments....due to my hard work.....you should work hard for yours too.....

  • @eaglewatch1221 try to lower down some graphic settings.

  • ive got an AMD sempron le 1250 2.2GHz processor with 2GB of Ram and 250GB HardDrive and an ATi Radeon 4350/4550 HD computer will it run smooth?

  • @BKhanford oh yes it would run smooth...we've got almost the same specs but with the following differences:

    yours - mine

    AmdSempron AMD AthlonX2

    ATi RadHD Nvidia GeForce 8400gt

it would run smooth at medium with AA off....so no worries....

  • świetna wstawka! To już mam pewność, że F3 odpali i będzie jakoś chodził. Pozdro dla autora filmiku! :)

  • lol. i got shit stuff.

    2.10 GHz

    Nvidia Geforce 8200m G

    4GB Ram

    Windows 7 Home Ultimate 32.

idk what else to put down.

most likely wont run, even on lowest. i lost my xbox copy D:

  • mm.. update yr graphic driver ? maybe it'll help

  • Runs great on ! AMD Athlon 64 3700+ 3.9 GHz

    1 GB RAMM

    6800GT 256 MB RAM

  • I've god everything maxed out on

    AMD Phenom x4 9750 @ 2.4 GHz

    4 GB RAM

    ASUS HD 4870 1gb

    Windows 7 Ultimate

    Game version 1.7

  • In the P4 /Amd athlon "era" AMD outperformed intel clock for clock , I'm willing to bet that if you got any sort of overclock on that AMD 2.0 it would Game better than the Intel 2.8 (I don't know how much less performance the Sempron performs at) , ....

  • would i be able to play on ati radeon xpress 1100??

  • @SixxHundredSixtySixx if this card works on Shader Model 3.0, the game should run. But remember to adjust your graphic settings to run the game smoothly.

  • i have Dual core 2.8ghz, 1gb RAM, and GeForce 6600 Gt...will it run?...i just love the fallout series...i dont want to get stuck playing fallout 2 for 5 years T_T

  • @Trestin67 You should run it with no problems.

  • Yeah it's a good sequal and all but it makes you want to move on to something different.

  • yeah i know...but though i still miss the old fold out gameplay

  • should i be able to run it: AMD sempron 3000+ Sapphire 9600 256MB VRAM

    1GB Reneon RAM

    ASUS K8V-MX Motherboard

  • My Sempron is overclocked to 2.2GHZ

  • @SynysterShadows403 Yeah, you should run that with no problem. :)

  • thanks :D

  • Overclock EVERYTHING ! and those 128mb amount of ram on cards are hurting you ....

  • It runs with medium settings on my PC

    Specs:

    Athlon XP 1800+

    Geforce 6800

    1 GB RAM

  • whats your operating system?

  • Windows XP Service Pack 3

  • Looks pretty nice, what sorta FPS do you get without the video capture software running, and how bad are the fps drops when in fights please?

  • As fas as I remember FPS was about 15 to 25. In fights... Yeah, it always lagged, but still FPS was around 15. :P

  • cheers m8, I'm ordering it now, only played it on a mates 360 and loved it. I currently still run on a GF6600 go (laptop version on your 6600) but have a slightly better CPU than you did, and only 1.5GB ram, but with a second HDD running my page file that won't be an issue for HDD lag. I should be able to run it similar to this until i get the cash to build a new rig. Cheers m8

  • is that really a sempron 2800+!!!

  • Yup, it WAS. ;)

  • PLEASE HELP I have a nvidia geforce 6600 and there are like rubberbands or little holes when i play fallout 3. Why is it like that?

  • Maybe your video card is overheating?

  • I run it on my Toshiba Tecra S2 with a Geforce go 6600

Intel Centrino (Intel Pentium M 760)

    And 1GB of Ram

My settings are everything on low/off and i play with a resolution of 640x480

except for Actor Fade which is maxed out

and Object fade which is only 2 stripes is options

It runs well except for places with lots of npc's then i will get a major framedrop except if i add Togglelitebrite in the console then i almost have no framedrop at all but, the game looks very ugly if i do that.

  • what sorta fps you do you get?

  • According to the system requirements it says you need 6800gt minimum. I have a 6600gt, and this video was filmed on a computer with a 6600gt so I'm guessing it'll work if I run it? Or did you have to do something to it for it to be able to run on 6600?

  • It should run. Of course you need to lower some settings to play it smooth.

  • Im running an 8200G M. and yet I always get stutturing lag.. maybe you can help? everythings set to very low!

  • Check your CPU. It should be at least 2 GHz single core. Also you need to have ~1 or more GB of RAM. Make sure that there are no useless applications running in the background.

  • Lol I can run assassins creed on midium-high on my laptop with 25-35 fps

  • Yeah, but what are your laptops specs? :P

  • I'll try different texture sizes when my cpu arrives this week. That way I can adjust the settings better.

I'm surprised you can't play GOW on highest settings. It works from me on 1024. I'm not sure of the framerate but its atleast 25fps. Sudden lag sometimes but thats the cpu, not the gpu. Whats did your 6600 run at? Mines 500/900

Oh, and actually, I have a weird graphical issue with GOW. The papers that are scattered on the floor, when looked at a certain way, blink bright green?

  • My 6600 GT was... Let me think... 500/1100? Something about that. It was from Galaxy. But it fucked up - once I played Bioshock demo and then... I smell smoke. :P So NOW I have GF 6800 GS, so it's way better than 6600 GT. But still it have only 128 MB of RAM. And about that papers - have you updated your graphic drivers lately?

  • Updated to the latest. Not sure what it could be.

Sorry about your card. I bought mine used, but in good condition. Except the fan. It barely moved and squaked. I pulled of the cover and fan used a slot fan, a 50mm and a 80mm fan. Keeps it around 80C at burn.

Can't wait for the new CPU. I wanna see how good PCSX2 will run. Some ps2 games are actually playable, lol.

I'll probably try Crysis, though I know the graphics may be horrible.

  • Maybe your video card is overheating?

  • Nope, can't be overheating. I only have the issue with GOW. I don't see it in UT 3 either, which is close to GOW.

I was wondering, have you tried Mercenaries 2 on this card? Or your new card atleast? Was wondering if it was even playable. The first Mercenaries was a cool game back on the consoles but they never made a PC version. Same question with Burnout Paradise. Yay, or nay?

  • I played Burnout - details on low, motion blur on, 800*600. :) Runned quite good, sometimes there was some stuttering, but for couple (1-2) seconds. :)

Never tested Mercs 2 because it looks boring to me. :P

  • Tried Crysis demo, lol. Even with lowest settings, once I got to a large group of enemies, laggggg. You definitely need a 9800 or better to make that game look good.

Got my new CPU :) Works great. Found out the lag from L4D was from the Memory setting in video. I thought that 1.5gb was handling it. I turned it down to low from high and game ran smooth on highest settings 1280*1024.

With Gears of War, I believe its a RAM problem. When game is paused, I have 80mb left of my 1.5gb :(

  • Probably won't upgrade anymore from now on.

Fallout 3 runs great now. I can turn the settings back up and runs pretty good on 1024, highest settings, no shadows or HDR. Can't wait to play through The Pitt and the other DLCs. Took a break until the cpu got here. Wasn't worth all the lag. Only way of really shooting was through VATS, lol.

  • Yeah, I love pulling off headshots with my hunting rifle. :D Sounds and looks great. :D

  • how much did the 6800 gs cost? and do u think the 6700 xl is better then the 6600 gt cuz i have the 6700 xl

  • Well... I've paid for it circa 51 $. And remember - I've bought it in my country, so computer parts are way expensive than in US, even if they are used.

And... 6700 XL is sort of little bit overclocked 6600 GT. So I don't think it's better than GF 6800 GS. :P

  • :O cool i can play crysis with only shaders model detail and shadows on low :)

  • HDR would kill the framerate more. But yeah, it does look nice. This card is good for running Half Life 2: Lost Coast with HDR :).

I got Left 4 Dead now and it doesn't run too bad. I can play with highest settings on 1024. The CPU is getting the shit kicked out of it though, lol. Major lag when 5+ zombies attacking. Waiting on a P4 3.06ghz HT. Should help with my lag in L4D and F3.

It'll run L4D on 720p but not so well. I'm not sure how much of the lag is from higher res or cpu.

  • You should know that if the texture size is too large, video card has to do too much operations per second, so it sure will lag as hell. For example - I can run Gears of War on 1024*768 with low texture settings, but everything else (except shadows) is on medium. So - the bigger size of video RAM, the more sharper (big texture size = extra details on surface) textures you should have. :)

  • do yanno if my pc will run it sorry for askin haha cuz i know everyone is blowing this up and asking

i got 2 gigs ram ddr2 not sure what kind

windows vista basic maybe not sure

    nvidia 6600gt

    and n amd athlon 64x2 (2.6ghz)

thats about all i know about it haha

  • I suggest to use Windows XP, Vista will slow down your PC too much. But yeah, F3 sholud be playable too.

  • I have a 2ghz P4. How different would that be from a Sempron?

I'm right out of high school so I don't have a good paying job just yet. So this is what I'm stuck with. You showed that it is playable though which gives me hope. Heard this is such a great game.

  • Hell yeah it's great game. ;)

And P4 2 GHz is more powerful than Sempron 2 GHz. So you should try to play it. :)

  • 30 dollars more and I could have a 3ghz P4 HT. My board doesn't have PCIe though so its pretty much pointless.

My coworker has the game for PC and 360. I will try to borrow it and write back with how well i got it to work.

  • Actually now I have P4 520 2.8 GHz HT Prescott on Socket LGA775. I also upgraded my GPU - now it's GF 6800 GS for AGP. So it's still nothing impressive, but hey - I can play Assassin's Creed with ~15-20 FPS on 800*600. :) Also FPS on F3 on 1024*768 and most settings on med-high are about 25 frames per second.

  • So far Splinter Cell Double Agent, Hitman Blood Money run good on my setup at 1280*1024 at max settings. 2xAA and 16xAF on Hitman. 4xAA nearly halves the framerate.

Call of Juarez runs decent too. Max settings at 1024*768. It's playable.

    Still need to try F3

  • What are your PC specs?

  • 2ghz P4 Northwood, 400mhz FSB, 1.5gb RAM, only DDR :( running on a Geforce 6600 GT 128mb DDR3 graphics card. I'm using XP. I'd rather not try Vista on here.

  • Well said. Vista will slow your PC so much, that playing something from years 2007- now on low-medium details might be kinda annoying.

  • I'd rather not deal with trying to play older games on Vista also. Compatibility issues and whatnot.

How much gain is there from using Linux? Maybe games would run better being that I have a slow CPU. I set AVG to not update when using full screen apps but I think some other things still start up during gameplay, causing major lag for a few moments. Really annoying. Nothing like a great pause in the middle of killing on COD 2.

  • Well, I've never used Linux. But I heard that games for Windows runs slower on Linux (something about emulation and stuff). But, actually, never tested that out. :)

  • F3 works surprisingly well. I pretty much have everything up except, shadow filter on low, no bloom or hdr, I don't have all the water settings up, and the radial blur is on low. Distance, LOD, and Texture settings on max.

At 1024x768 it doesn't play too bad. I don't have a framerate counter but I'd say its running about 20 to 25. Only issue is the random lag from the CPU not keeping up. It's playable though.

    Cool.

Inside areas ran better obv. Same setting with almost no lag with HDR.

  • So, play with HDR. :) Graphics looks much better with that on. :)

  • im going to play it on Medium Graphs and Windowed less laggs i think :-/

  • Windowed mode does not always mean it will run smoother. For example your PC still needs to render realtime 3D in 1024*768 even if it's fullscreened or windowed. Remember: lower the resolution, smoother the framerate.

  • well all i can do is hope it run smoother then with windowed and medium graphics

  • Trying never hurts. :)

  • will my pc handle this maxed out?

    gtx 260 black edition

    intel core 2 duo E7200 @ 2.5 ghz

    3 GB of ram

    1400x900 resolution

and windows vista home premuim service pack 2 ( i think)

  • Sure.

  • did he say it would work? cause i got about the same specs like you but a 2,8Ghz and a 2gb ram :-// and a service pack 3 i think

  • can my vista computer run it?

AMD Athlon (tm) 64 Processor 3500+

CPU speed of 2.21 GHZ preformance rated 3.50GHZ

Video Card is a NVIDIA Geforce 8500GT

    2GB of ram

I dont care how low i have to set the graphics, as long as its playable

  • Yes, your PC will run it smoothly.

  • What happens if I have

AMD Anthlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+1.90 ghz

    4.00 GB ram

    32-bit operating system

    8600 gt

  • my 6600 ddr2 overclockd 256 to 512 + - petium 4 5.0 ghz

  • Good for a 6600GT. I run mine on an Intel4500MHD, Lol. It's playable 7 - 17fps.

    [Desktop is getting fixed]

  • What settings could i play this game on with these specifications on my computer:

    Windows XP - Home

    1gB RAM

    Pentium Celeron 2.66gHz

    512mB Graphic Card /or/ 1gB Graphic Card

According the graphic card.. i dont know if its geforce or ATI or anything like that.. I only know how much mB it is cuz i havent bought it yet xD how ever.. dad promissed one with 512 (maybe 1gb).

  • High settings, probably. Antialiasing and shadows always use most of the resources. but I think you may be able toplay with highest details, but that Celeron CPU may be kinda slow for highest settings. Just try to play with different settings. If game will stutter (low FPS) or something - just lower your settings.

  • Thats pretty good, for a Sempron and a 6600 gt.

  • i got 7600 gs but when i move around it kinda glitchy like lagg is that the problem of my pc or the setting?

  • i presume ur use frap to record this.....

i think without frap it would be playable...i play this on high setting on my last 8600gt and ultra setting on my new GTS250

and i dun think this game graphic suck...cause i only like the GAMEPLAY

and this pretty good for 6600gt

  • this is pretty good for a 6600 gt i think... :D

  • hey, im the guy woth the celeron pc 2.0 ghz and Gforce 6600GT. I solve the lag problem shutting down all taskbar programmes. Alacrity pc software gives a little more fps to my game. I can play ok with the 6600GT with medium graphics, even they say the min specs are with a 6800 .

what do u suggest, improveing graphics in the game or in the nvidia driver ??

  • Try both. I've changed settings in-game and it works pretty good for me. I'm not 60 FPS maniac, I can also play with 25-30 average FPS (sometimes even lower!). And I can always reduce some details and gameplay is smoother. I suggest to leave nVidia driver settings alone and just try to change in-game settings.

  • what settings should i use? any settings that i use is still lag.

    my specs:

    2gb ram

dual core AMD Athlon 3500+ 2.1 GHz

    7300GT 512mb

  • Reduce grass quality. I mean the distance. Or even turn it off. Also try to reduce shadows or textures size. Reduce screen resolution. Try something like that.

  • hello again vashpl, look, maybe you caould help me with this,my system specs is

    Celeron 2.0 Mhz

    768 RAM

XFX GeForce 6600 GT AGP DDR3

I m have lag problems with the game, not in the wasteland but when i enter a city with a lot of buildings i cant play fluid, i have low settings, do u think i should buy 1GB RAM to solve the problem? . yo play fluid everywhere with your system? Thanx

  • I think that additional 1 GB or RAM should help. You should also check you antivirus / antispyware software. I have Spybot S&D and it's TeaTimer.exe (realtime file scanner) scanned F3 radio files, so I always had problems with lagging radio. Now I always shut it down through Task manager. Try to reduce the size of textures. Turn shadows down or something like that.

  • of RAM*

  • Seem to run pretty well tbh, but at 800x600 i just hope you don't have a 30" monitor :P

  • 17" CRT Samsung. Normally I play at 1024*768.

  • Look , i saw a guy using a 6600GT with a AMDX2 4200 processor,he tested Crysis and worked smooth without problems, your problem is the Sempron processor, Intel Celeron 2.0 GHZ is a little bit better .

  • Duh. I know that. :P

  • to me...its the ground that looks bad...everything else is fine...

  • =)Po znajomości 5 gwiazdek =)
