The "nothing without Luongo" thing is completely irrelevant though because they DO have Luongo. It's like saying "a team would be much worse without their best player." Yeah, so? It's true, they may be putting all their eggs in one basket, but keep in mind they did okay last year for a long stretch without him, and they also just beat the Kings with Raycroft in net.

Habs are 50/50 for good or terrible season. Flames are good, Oilers have a strong future. Leafs are and always will be a joke.

@BoilingSnowCones ... That was last year, and they had many injuries and problems. I guess that some of the new player would help a bit, and having Khabibulin and Ales Hemsky in good shape would also help them. In fact, I have no worry that they will do better in a couple of week, and in the worst case the management could trade players. The Maple joke, however, it is pretty the management is there for cash only and that they don't really care if that team goes well or not.
