Surviving for uhmm ever on my resto druid. and often taking on 2-3 alone s feral. and don't even get me started at healer + dps vs healer + dps in 2v2.. use TBC and vanilla PvP beats the curent. but it was stil far from perfect. there is a reason most of the good players have left WoW.
@75Hadouken Shadow Priests were good, yeah, but I wouldn't call locks overpowered. Either way, I easily won both matchups as an UD rogue, and warriors could tear through both with proper use of zerker rage (helps that my warrior was also UD). Just seems like melee had a big advantage back then.

I fail to see your point. No balance and big numbers is better than no balance and small numbers. When the game becomes less about burst, it becomes more about CC and shutting the enemy down with snares/stuns/etc. That's pretty much the opposite of fun in my book.

Most the people who who watch these videos and say "Wow sucks, pre tbc was the best!" most likely have never played vanilla... Honestly, i think the game is better, better graphics, got rid of 40 mans (tytytytytytytyty) implemented resilience. Everything is better. At the time vanilla was fun, but when tbc came out i realized how much vanilla sucked, same with Wotlk, once playing it i realized how shitty tbc was, soon to happen with cataclysm. Game keeps on getting better, can't disprove that.
@noobhealz402 Rubbish. Utter 100% crap. 25 mans killed most if not all the great guilds, Pvp in TBC was terrible. World pvp was non existent, arenas blew (got glad 2x in first 2 seasons B4 quitting so don't say i sucked at it). Resilience made fights long and boring (i.e. warr/druid faceroll) and allowed the bad players more time to make mistakes. However you could still be killed by 2 shotting destro lock/mages in T6 in full resilience. Nothing was solved and resi made it worst.
Humbly disagree, but probably b/c I was in a 40 man server progression raid guild. C'thun @ lvl 60 while trying to collaborate 40 people was tough, but soo satisfying. Resil seemed counter-intuitive to the nature of classes, and just seemed like a ploy for Blizzard to keep players active. Sooner or later, you see through it, and notice that what was being billed as "upgrades" are really just marketing strategies engineered to keep you chasing the next big item/mount/achievement.

@MasterMecha IDK, Huhuran was pretty touchy considering the obscure nature resistance requirement for 40 people. I swear, I don't know how people did it without BWL, ZG flask, and Green dragon gear. PreBC raids were tough when I was progressing through them, but I was usually fighting them before the nerfs while we devised unique strats. Vael used to be the hardest boss in the game at one point. Drakes were tedious and ranged DPS had to take wing buffets to reduce their threat. Twins was my fave
@kvngty The nature resist was odd but its not like it was anything hard to get. I spent a couple hours in Mara to help a few warriors do that poison boss and the rest was mostly crafted gear. And Vael was only hard because he had such a big RNG factor in his mechanics, it was retarded. Get too many healer bombs and its GG.
@MasterMecha Yea, the noxxion trinket. You are right, but when that boss first came out, it was really hard to sacrifice the stats for a blue with +10 NR. The green dragon rings were golden for us, and the corn cob staff. =P
Vael was kind of a groundbreaking boss, it was the first time you really had to ride the max DPS/threat line all while dealing with frequent tank switches. The chaining cleave mechanic was new as well I think, and very OP for a while. Sigh, I really miss those WoW days.
@m3r3d4 Fury was very strong pre-bc in pvp. It was harder to get to the competitive gear threshold than arms but once you got there, you would rip stuff up. The scariest alliance warrior i faced down back then was fury with close to hulksmash's gear. It was a hellava tough fight for a arms warrior; had to kite him with my 3.8 speed axe. Not easy to with 15 sec intercept.
The only problem with vanilla is the amount of time you had to put in as well as getting lucky of finding a guild. Unless you started playing from the very beginning, if you weren't a healer it was extremely hard to get into a raiding guild.
@Hazama567 That was one of the reasons why it was so great, only few people were extremely geared so everyone stood a chance in a BG. And you had to work for your gear.
omg i even miss tbc u know why? My main is warrior, and warrior was 100x better cuz in fury you used 2x 1h weps titans grip sux ass... and you could just put rampage on, nowadays it's just a buff that just comes damn i miss 2x 1h weps on fury warr<3 I cant even think how good pre tbc was

@leethunter123 i read the 2x 1her talent for warriors for catclysm, its more for aoe really. Its just that it does 20 percent more dmg and ur slams and cleaves hit with your offhand aswell now.

I loved Pre BC, that is what I played.. when BC came out I quit before it and I came back for about a month and I couldn't stand it, it just wasn't the same... Kind of nice to come on to videos like these and relive old memories....

Most the people who who watch these videos and say "Wow sucks, pre tbc was the best!" most likely have never played vanilla... Honestly, i think the game is better, better graphics, got rid of 40 mans (tytytytytytytyty) implemented resilience. Everything is better. At the time vanilla was fun, but when tbc came out i realized how much vanilla sucked, same with Wotlk, once playing it i realized how shitty tbc was, soon to happen with cataclysm. Game keeps on getting better, can't disprove that.

@noobhealz402 Rubbish. Utter 100% crap. 25 mans killed most if not all the great guilds, Pvp in TBC was terrible. World pvp was non existent, arenas blew (got glad 2x in first 2 seasons B4 quitting so don't say i sucked at it). Resilience made fights long and boring (i.e. warr/druid faceroll) and allowed the bad players more time to make mistakes. However you could still be killed by 2 shotting destro lock/mages in T6 in full resilience. Nothing was solved and resi made it worst.

Humbly disagree, but probably b/c I was in a 40 man server progression raid guild. C'thun @ lvl 60 while trying to collaborate 40 people was tough, but soo satisfying. Resil seemed counter-intuitive to the nature of classes, and just seemed like a ploy for Blizzard to keep players active. Sooner or later, you see through it, and notice that what was being billed as "upgrades" are really just marketing strategies engineered to keep you chasing the next big item/mount/achievement.

@cirkic ...No life for AQ20 gear? Is that a joke? AQ20 was on par with MC in terms of difficulty. MC, ZG and AQ20 were all puggable. BWL was puggable at one point too.

@cirkic .....First off, no I wont tell you my char names. Second, yes they were puggable, They were pugged ALL the time on Arthas. I used to raid on my main 3 days a week, then during the weekend spend some time on my alt rogue doing some pugs for MC and AQ20(could of done ZG but I already had 2 chars exalted to it, hated it.)
Anyway, pretty funny to see you react so defensively when I didnt even insult you, rofl.

@cirkic Lol, damn, you are 18 and you got your car?! Wow you're cool! Doesnt change the fact that AQ20, ZG, MC were all pugged on a constant basis on Arthas. Both horde and alliance had pugs running them every weekend. Hell, they were doing BWL for a couple weeks before the end of vanilla. Pre-BC raids were fun, but they werent that hard until halfway thru AQ40 where you reached twins.

@MasterMecha IDK, Huhuran was pretty touchy considering the obscure nature resistance requirement for 40 people. I swear, I don't know how people did it without BWL, ZG flask, and Green dragon gear. PreBC raids were tough when I was progressing through them, but I was usually fighting them before the nerfs while we devised unique strats. Vael used to be the hardest boss in the game at one point. Drakes were tedious and ranged DPS had to take wing buffets to reduce their threat. Twins was my fave

@kvngty The nature resist was odd but its not like it was anything hard to get. I spent a couple hours in Mara to help a few warriors do that poison boss and the rest was mostly crafted gear. And Vael was only hard because he had such a big RNG factor in his mechanics, it was retarded. Get too many healer bombs and its GG.

@MasterMecha Yea, the noxxion trinket. You are right, but when that boss first came out, it was really hard to sacrifice the stats for a blue with +10 NR. The green dragon rings were golden for us, and the corn cob staff. =P
Vael was kind of a groundbreaking boss, it was the first time you really had to ride the max DPS/threat line all while dealing with frequent tank switches. The chaining cleave mechanic was new as well I think, and very OP for a while. Sigh, I really miss those WoW days.

if you would have same gear with ashkandi u would rip them even faster..

@m3r3d4 Fury was very strong pre-bc in pvp. It was harder to get to the competitive gear threshold than arms but once you got there, you would rip stuff up. The scariest alliance warrior i faced down back then was fury with close to hulksmash's gear. It was a hellava tough fight for a arms warrior; had to kite him with my 3.8 speed axe. Not easy to with 15 sec intercept.

The only problem with vanilla is the amount of time you had to put in as well as getting lucky of finding a guild. Unless you started playing from the very beginning, if you weren't a healer it was extremely hard to get into a raiding guild.
