How could that be 'very important'? There are 10 audible octaves, and instruments (including piano) have variations showing any number between 1 & 10. If you want to find a musical significance of the number 7 it would be the 7 note scales.

First of all, light and colour are synonamous. If by 'see' you mean perceive, we actually have over 20 senses. Secondly, there are many, many more octaves than 7 in this reality right now. Try it out on a keyboard with a transpose function. No extra dimensions necessary! By the way, the 3rd dimension is just space. We occupy many.
