Ontario is pretty much the only province you can find them in anymore. just because they are abundant in one place, one province doesn't make it so in the rest of the country/world. I've only heard of a couple lakes in Saskatchewan and Manitoba that have them out west. that's it.

In these parts that Muskie is classified as undersized by Canada Fish and Game and must be released. Glad they did it as Muskie are not for keeping but are for sport.

Take a picture and have a replica made but do not harm a fish that is few and far between; Muskie are very delicate and stress prone despite their size and aggressive nature.

@tegomassislove Muskies are fighting fish, not for eating. Putting them back is a common practice. My brother caught and released a muskie with a distinct scar on its tail. Exactly one year later, he caught the same fish. Also, in many places you MUST put muskies back if you take them through ice.
