Interesting effects - the images looked like emperors from old Roman coins. I do like the interesting music you make - it compliments the videos very effectively, adding another dimension to an already very enjoyable experience of some impressive visual artwork. Thank you.
GarageBand is a multitrack sound recording program for use with Apple computers. The beat is from a library of loops that comes with the program. I plugged a guitar into my computer and recorded two separate tracks onto the master track.
Garageband is NOT a real band. It is a program that comes installed on Mac computers. It's basically like fruity loops but with much more versatility.
You should enter the Turner prize...your concept is very original. Its nice to see this on you tube. Much better than the urbane vid offering i looked at before yours, Mouse in Bush...a real stinker
You know what. i just watched the 3rd sketch but thing and loved it but this one wasnt as impressive ive got to say. great art and everything but i just saw it for images being computer streched and repeated for a while. soz it dint inspire me but gd work all the same.
"The original footage (a self-portrait while spinning with a borrowed Pixelvision PXL-2000 camera) was transfered from Pixelvision audio tape onto VHS, then rotoscoped from a TV screen onto paper and then photocopied. The pages were scanned, and then assembled in iMovie.
The ticky-ticky soundtrack was compiled in GarageBand. "
a Pixelvision camera is a low-quality camera that records on audio tapes. the audio tape he recorded was of the camera spinning around a self portrait, which was made into a VHS tape. he put pieces of paper on the tv screen and copied each image from the tape on to the paper, which he photocopied, scanned into a computer, and pieced together into a movie with a song he made in the program "GarageBand". It's a really innovative way to do things, and it works really well.
lol i don't think i still got it. let me try, k he used a video camera to record images using an audio tape, weird never knew it was possible. then he converted the tape to a vhs and copied it on a paper which he photocopied and made it in to a movie.
yeah, that's what he did. i'm not sure exactly how Pixelvision records, but i'm guessing it uses a special kind of audio tape. Pixelvision was originally made as a children's toy, but a lot of underground film makers have started to use it because of the strange effect it gives.
You are correct, sir. PixelVision cameras use(d) normal audio cassette tapes, but they spun them really fast and recorded audio and pixelated video to them. If I can find it, I might post the original PixelVision footage.
nice.

Very good experiment. Need some kind of history to make some stonger sense. Is it pages falling down one over another time and time again?
