Great looking and sounding 390. But what I always wonder with all the hopped-up FE's is; Have the oil-ways in the block been drilled out, like mine, so the main bearings get enough oil?

Bad designing by F*rd where the oil-ways in block don't line up with the shells. This starves the main bearings on tuned FE's and results in engine failures.

Now that is a beautiful job. Very well done. I am impressed with the whole package you made here and I wish I had that in my 76 Ford F100. Too bad I have a 360 with a pile of edlebrock and msd gear etc etc. oh well.

that moter is bad i have a 390 ford in my 76 ford f250 its borded out to a 410 and it is bad 44dana in front and a 60 trac lock in the back 5 speed k and n filter charger one some days i learn more and more about it

I got a 390 GT in my 4x4 f150 it 's got 4;10 gears with a four speed you can start out in 3rd gear going up a slight grade and that is with 12.50 x33s. Your 3 dueces look cool and the motor sounds great.

straight pipes woulds sound hell of alot meaner trust me. we got a 1979 ford ranger f150 with 390 boraded 60 over to a 402 with gt heads and i dont remember the cam size but its a crane cam and it has headers and edelbrock craburetor. fram air filter and it runs pretty damn good and sounds damn good like one of the best pickups i have ever heard

I have a MSD probillet distributor on mine. It really needs some drive train changes so the tranny will hold gears longer.

I had a 390 in a 67 galaxie that i took the local cops on a run about 25 years ago at the age of 17 and was clocked on radar at a 142mph.And still got caught lol.Man that 390 would run but the car didnt handle to well tho but that another story .That 390 looks and sounds GREAT good job
