  • time to thin the herd....

  • I am an Arabic linguist and transgender man who was unable to complete ROTC due to DADT over 10 years ago. I am now 31 and hoping DADT will be eliminated before I age out of service so that I can serve my country and use my language skills - for the benefit of both Americans and Arabic speakers with whom we interact. طضام مع الاسكرىّ - solidarity with our soldiers.

  • DADT perpetuates the prejudice it was intended to indulge. It is an insult to freedom and equality. Repeal should be a priority.

  • Support our troops and lift the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" ban! The ban has been a huge waste of federal tax dollars discharging 13,000 service members since it's inception. We have lost countless foreign language translators, medics and soldiers that could be helping us in our efforts abroad if the U.S. military policy would finally be changed.

  • SO TRUE!!!! I am still currently serving; though in my twilight of my proud service and ordered to remain silent to my fellow soldiers. I am; or was a 68W, Combat Medic, a veteran of OIF and was a medical instructor to the Iraqi and American Army. I was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for my duties in OIF. I have seen what this act of shame and repression does to friends, collegues, and to the service as a whole. LIFT THE BAN AND ALLOW US TO CONTINUE TO SERVE WITH PRIDE AND DIGNITY
