  • I feel you should redo this video since the verse at the end is from the Bible and was Davids Vision of Jesus hanging on the cross; to psychedelic, also I like Jesus Christ Super Star. I have always like this song.

  • The time was 1970, which were the psychedelic times. Trust me, it's fitting.

  • whoa. the end is soo weird

  • 1:28 I wager 10 quatloos that the Earthling does not survive.

  • These guys kick wings!!!!

  • Burton's dialogue of Psalm 22... Wild.... He ran and then came back to his childhood of Faith.. Kinda' like Cooper's track back.... Always loved this LP version....

  • burton cummings is to the guess who what jagger is to the rolling stones.

  • Wow!!!! Thanks for sharing this vidéo it is very cool. Dededetracker

  • I just love this song

  • no one sings like burton

  • i never realized the last part came from the bible, maybe i should read it more?

  • this song is great

  • What I love about this song is that it really showcases the powerhouse voice of Burton Cummings. He's one of the best and he still sounds great.

  • this song is sooooo Bloodrock.

  • Psalm 22:13 involves a prophecy of Jesus' suffering and death on the cross a Calvary!!!

  • @BBINGHAM032352 Burton Cummings said he wrote this song after a bad LSD trip when he really thought he was going to die.

  • One of their best. Chris Cornell bit off Burton some.

  • Saw them do this at Anahein Convention center in the early 70's with the then little known back up band Aerosmith...good times....

  • 36K views, seriously... wtf is everybody?

  • My GOD, I love Burton Cummings' voice. Scream to me .. yeahhhhhhhh !!

  • @kmmangel444 - I, too am quite aware that this is from Psalms 22:13-15

Yes, Jesus' enemies surround Him, and us! The good news is that in our death, like His, we will rise again!!

  • @dlminier Listen to Friends of Mine. That's really got some serious scripture reflections in it.

  • @dlminier I always wondered about the many references to the Bible from the Guess Who (like The Key) and now that I am saved by Grace I understand it!!!!

  • @kmmangel444 - I, too am quite aware that this is from Psalms 22:13-15

Yes, Jesus' enemies surround Him, and us!

  • The Guess Who had a great sense of straddling the AM/FM fence. They were pop enough in parts to appeal to teenyboppers and catch their ears but they were also heavy and innovative enough to fulfill and exceed the expectations of the underground. Dig what I'm saying?

  • @MattHatter Yep.

  • @MattHatter I do dig it, I never thought of it that way but you're right. Probably 80% of what the Beatles did then was off limit to AM, though AM did some great stuff incl the Guess Who. Where else could I have heard the likes of Albert Flasher, Guns Guns Guns, and one I've come to appreciate, Glamour Boy

  • This beat and guitar work became Southern Rock!

  • led zepplin BEFORE led zepplin. yes!!!!!! omg great.

  • Nice visual.

  • hate that end part, but i love the song itself

  • It's from the Bible, psalm 22 verse 13:" They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death. "

  • His (Jesus') enemies, with the vigor of bulls and rapacity of lions, surround him, eagerly seeking his ruin. The force of both figures is greater without the use of any particle denoting comparison.

  • @kmmangel444 I didn't hear any of that in the song

  • @lion36ify The psalm is at the end of the song.

  • @kmangel444 I like that part as well the song Talisman , humptys mix, Ive got a guess who playlist as of today jan 21st 2011

  • @johnnnnification yea I coulda done w/o it myself

  • @johnnnnification I love the freaky end part, but that's just me!

  • @johnnnnification The end is from the Bible.

  • Fu*k Led Zepplin The Guess Who All The Way

  • @glamourboy89 Uh, I like both.

  • recitation at the end is psalm 22

  • this cat could really howl the blues

  • one of theyre best!!

  • @acerb45666555 AMEN BROTHER!!!

  • Love this song.. Love this band.. Love Burton Cummings voice.. nobody can sing it like him... !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good message.. "Hang on to Your Life".. you hang onto it TIGHT and live every day to the fullest. We're only on this Earth a short time.

    ROCK ON !!!

  • My favorite Guess Who song. Too bad there isn't any video of actual live performance. The recitation at the end is a quote from the bible

  • super cool chanson!!!

  • Great song!!

This song used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid. It's so heavy!!

Modern death metal bands have nothing on this song for scare factor!! LOL

  • @feedbackbro Me too. 1st time i heard it, alone at night in bed, no light's about 9yrs old!

  • Thats some heavy guitar man!

  • greatness , I love the end ,

  • Love This Band!

  • Hey Adolf, if you hate this band, why do keep logging on to complain? Is this to distract you from your own inability to create music? LOL

  • I'm glad you get a kick out of sh*tting on a good band over the internet... should be expected with a name of "Shitler" ... gave me a kick, lol.

  • lawl

  • I don't see how anyone can hate "No Time" -- it's got everything: great, edgy voice, sweet melody, angellic harmonies, hard rocking rhythm, intelligent lyrics, great electric guitar. If you say that that also sounds made up in 5 minutes, or that that is sloppy, then you are just a troll, not to be taken seriously.

  • I was fortunate enough to see them on this tour on the front row right in front of Burton Cummings..amazing..and now we realize somewhat prophetic..

  • Very similar to Led Zeppelin.

  • No, although both great bands. Listen to Bloodrock, also a great 70's band who never got alot of credit, known for DOA. They sound similar to The Guess Who.

  • @7beers but BEFORE Led Zeppelin, I think :D

  • One word - Burton.

  • Truly freaky song, but great musicianship. Really grabs you. I just loved the drummer in this band. I remember in my childhood wanting to be a drummer. I think it was The Guess Who's drum parts that inspired that. Also loved Burton, what a voice, could be so tough and soulful, and also so tender. And he sure wasn't hard to look at either! Great band!!

  • To be precise, the song was written by Burton Cummings but the last spoken section is Psalms 22:13-15. This is the same Psalm that Jesus is said to have quoted from the Cross: "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?" (verse 1). See? Even Pagans can know the Bible!

  • this GW song has always been one of my faves-Curt Winter's guitar MAKES this friccin' thing g-r-e-a-t(although ANYTHING Cummings sings on HAS to be)This is the period after Randy left the band--and frankly, as great as Bachman was, I dont think he could played the riff as great as Curt did here. Unbelievably good. This song is sooo underated.

    Kev in USA

  • i remember hearing the end of it peaking on acid when i was 15

  • Great Tune...Thanks for the post !

  • Love this song!

  • Saw 'em play this killer tune live. (Yeah, I'm that old.)

  • Thanks very much for posting-another fantastic song by one of the most brilliant rock bands of all time. Proof is that classics like this (that didn't get much U.S. airplay) are being rediscovered almost 40 years later.

  • My favourite Guees Who song, they don't make them like this anymore.

  • Yeah..thx 54...Bus Rider was written by Kurt Winter who Burton was close to.. he/one Greg Leskiw replaced Bachman. The Guess Who alongside Bachman/Cummings "other" songs make up a body of work that many feel is unrivaled by songwriters from any era..I cant say they dont have a point...Jim Kale conned the Guess Who's name fr. Cummings. He's had talented and nice guys in the clone band..but he cheated and misled a sympathizing friend (Cummings) to do it..I certainly dont respect him in the least..

  • what was the connection between cummings and winter?

  • @tlando One played guitar, the other played keyboard and did lead vocasl in the same band.

  • You all better thank Mr.Burton Cummings..who wrote or cowrote along with Randy Bachman and others virtually all of their hits..with an odd exception..he was the lead singer ..is was and always will be the man most associated with the music of them..forget about bass player Jim Kale milking the name in later years..what some guys wont do to make a buck!!..the Guess Who are an underated band ..my friends

  • Your comments are spot on. Burton was a legend.

Automatically liked them all when I heard Bus Rider for the first time.

  • All the above comments are so true, they had some classic songs gustoworld, but this track everytime i play it, it still chills me, it tears you apart a killer!

  • vraiment cool!!!!!

  • Well, wasn't on acid, or dope, or zantac. Just loved the song. Still love the song.

  • I've been listening to the Guess Who off and on for a few years now and up until this point I've never heard this particular song, it absolutely blew my mind, I had chills running down my arm, I was almost paralyzed. Thank You for posting this, I wish that they still made music like that!!!

  • "one of the "GREATEST BANDS' that ever lived in 1973-74 my kind of 'music"!!! "THE GUESS WHO"!!!

  • i think this song helped me along with argents god gave rock and roll and last night maudy thursdays went to church heard the psalms verse freaked me out i didnt know after all those years bonzo76rockon!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ya, this is an awesome song. this gets played on deep tracks on sirius sat. radio. just heard it last week. thanks for posting.

  • I love it when the Guess Who let loose and rock out like this!! This is one of my favorites along with: Bus Rider, Musicione, Three More Days, Long Gone and Don't You Want Me (Which is just such a charming little ballad).

  • How bout those vocals?

That's why Robert Plant cited Burton Cummings as one of his favorite singers.

  • I remember when I first heard this, I was a teenager. We all thought it was spooky at the end, none of us knew where it came from. The freaky part at the end is from Psalm 22:13-15, in the Bible. Psalm 22 foretells the horror of dying on the cross. Jesus Christ died on a cross, to pay the penalty for my sins, so I can spend eternity with Him in heaven. That is why Jesus Christ is my God.Jesus wants everyone to spend eternity with Him, but not everyone chooses to. Some people choose other gods.

  • super chanson trop cool!!!!!

  • The Guess Who had a great run of hits in 69/70/71. Unfortunately when classic rock stations play the hits, These Eyes , American Woman and Share The Land get so much play, the other songs get ignored. As a result, these songs have become forgotten by many and unknown to younger generations. Every rock fan should have a copy of The Guess Who's greatest hits , the 2 cd Anthology is probably the best. from there you can get into the individual albums, be aware of the changing band members.

  • I heard the ending of that song on a rooftop on acid in 1971. after a storm while watching lightning from a distance. that night me & a buddy were at a park; when lightning struck a tree that was right behind us a few feet. I was laughing my friend was praying. that same buddy passed away 2 yrs too much coke & booze RIP,

  • The bit at the end is just a typical

    Burton ode to Jim Morrison.

  • its psalm 22

    burton didn't write it

  • The song's just saying have a good time

when you're young, just don't go over the edge.

Cummings himself pushed the envelope but

came out the other side, not every rocker

of his generation made it of course.

  • How have i never heard this amazing song? Maybe it's because I'm 18

  • These were albums of my older sister.Even at 7years old I would "borrow" them, take them to my room and listen.I felt as if I was being very mature. But I related to the music in such a very natural way and noone had to explain it to me. I still have music as an escape. Thank goodness for all the great songs of the late 60's and 70's.

    Drummer 63

  • This song spooked me as a child. But I felt compelled to listen to this album over and over.I felt braver everytime I made it thru the song.Of course I was too young to know who I was listening to at the time,or what all the lyrics inferred.

  • Great album "Share the Land". The record jacket was pretty cool with the indian craftsman. How about "Coming Off the Money Bag/Song of the Dog" or 'Three More Days"

  • A "great forgotton oldie",although any fan of GW,knows & remembers it well! Rocks better than "American Woman",and back then, the end was wild!

  • Fantastic tune! I remember playing this over and over when I was a teen. The last two minutes of the song I like how they play the lead guitar! I always thought this song was alot better than No Time, Share the Land, etc. Thanks!

  • One of the sickest songs ever!

  • cool

  • Very cool tune and cool, trippin video.

    Rod

  • I have Added To My Classics List Thank You
