  • American here. So, it is my understanding that there is a GCSE art exam in which students have to make a piece in 10 hours. Are you allowed a break? What about making art from observation? I mean, there's only so much you can have in a classroom. Are you allowed to bring in sketches and smaller pieces made prior to the exam into the testing room, or is that cheating in the same way it's cheating to bring in paper with notes on them into an academic test?

  • @TutTutOpenSesame

For my GCSE art you had a few weeks for prep work (research and little drawings a stuff) and get everything ready for the 10 hour part where you make your final piece, our 10 hours was spread over 3 half days of lesson.. The only things we could take in was any photos that were were copying from or like you said something to draw, but as for sketches or anything art related like than, no were werent allowed and the 10 hours was in exam conditions :)

  • @TutTutOpenSesame you go into the exam with nothing but blank canvas or what ever you need to make your project, you may not bring sketches as that is classified as cheating. You go to your school classroom for 5 hrs then leave you project there and spend five hours on it the next day. Depending on the school, but i go to a strict school and we are aloud to listen to our iPods and to bring food with we can eat. :D doing my art gcse...

    How long did it take?

  • from a point view its art, theres not much talent in just taking photos and moving a few words around is there lol but its good, not many people can do it PROPERLY, its very well done. i hope you got a good mark for it ;)

    xo

    simone

  • ??? how did you enter this into your book

  • by being really annoying to my teachers.

i had it on a memory stick.

and stuck stills in as mackettes.

  • ur gonna b famous m8 good work

  • wow!!! thats sooo cool!....i love it!!!! i really do!

how did you make it...just cut out words takeing a photow each time you change the spaceing/word?

  • yeah, stopframe.

24 frames a second, so thats an obsene 2800 photos approximately.

just took a photo and then moved the paper words a tad. which is why it looks quite amatuer and wobbly.

did the whole thing on flash to get it synced with the music and then just mocked up each flash frame under the camera. ta da!

  • super duper i'm proud of you little one xx

  • brill!
