  • well....shit just got awkard....

  • Wow, did she just admit that she loved him?

  • come on let's not fight about team arwen or team eowyn, if you have a problem with who aragorn ends up with, take it up with Tolkien...good luck with that...

  • @MidnightMoondapple Oh god, please, Twilight fans CAN'T be lotr fans.... Please! Please! Please! (I agree)

  • @mackayjenn she can't have The next king of Gondor so she dates the next steward of gondor with the same hairstyle

  • All the ladies love Aragon cause he has a "big" sword.

  • @marlito166 and an even bigger one in return of the king

  • Eowyn is a character with dimensions, with strengths and weaknesses, and sometimes she acts rashly, and sometimes she acts with great carefulness and thought. She is 3D. She's flesh and blood, earthbound, with flaws and virtues. Yet through all of this runs a noble streak of great power and love for her people and family, and a solid wish to protect them. I felt Eowyn was one of the most developed characters in the series, and therefore my favourite.

  • By the looks of the subtitles it was an educational video meant for Orcs.

  • @MrCardife

No need to be rude about other languages.

  • From my POV, Eowyn was a little immature and maybe a little self-absorbed (I want, I want glory, I want honor, etc) and I think Aragorn found that off-putting... his body language and tone of voice show him being a little annoyed with Eowyn. Arwen seemed to have more emotional maturity and also a warmth and gentleness to her (and if you don't think that being honest about your feelings and loving without reserve don't take courage and maturity then you are sadly mistaken).

  • Eowyn: Lord Aragorn! Lord Aragorn! They won't let me go with you so I can make googly eyes at you for hours on end....

    Aragorn:*to himself* Good.

    Eowyn: What?

    Aragorn: *poker face*

    Legolas *snicker*

  • Eowyn: because they love you!

    Aragorn:... ... ...

    Legolas: awkwarrrd

  • two girls like aragorn wow he must be sexy

  • @h3ll01486

    He totally is :P

  • Eowyn: Lord Aragorn! Lord Aragorn!

Legolas: Aragorn, your stalker is here *giggles*.

    Aragorn: *rolls eyes*

Legolas: Have a good time, Aragorn! Bye! *leaves and dodges the crowd*

    Aragorn: Now Valar help me!

  • @loveatrej Ha ha... Eowyn b!tched and complained about Grima "stalking" her, but then she turns around and does the same thing to Aragorn... oh wait tho, Eowyn's a pretty girl and Grima's a funny looking old git (poor sod, I kinda actually felt sorry for him).

  • 1:01= Women's crackhouse?

  • @88Vectorman88

I can't believe anything of what you said, did you even read the books?

Yes--> read them again and try to understand it

    No--> read them now

  • There is no other character in Lord of the Rings that I have liked and disliked so many times as Eowyn. She sometimes is a wonderful heroin that I love and admire, the next she is a lovestruck child that makes my skin crawl. I honestly preferred Arwen, because she was a more solid character and everybody seemed to be against her because she didn't fight. I'm sorry, but having to stand by and wait for the one you love is the greatest fight there is. Her endurance always amazes me <3

  • @rainysky09

Arwen did a sort of fight, she said -without a trace of fier- to the nazgul that if they wanted Frodo, they needed to get her first, so... you can't say she didn't fight apart from waiting till aragorn returns.

and she almost died for it

  • @TheMovieMusicLover True, she did do that in the movie. Most people don't recognize that though. I love that scene in FOTR it is so wonderfully done!

  • @TheMovieMusicLover Yeah but it never happened in the book....in fact, the way it happened in the book was pretty 'badass' as they say. The saviour of Frodo was the ancient Elf Glorfindel. His history is awesome - he, like Gandalf was resurrected and sent back to continue good work, after fighting a Balrog to the death. He did so in the Fall of Gondollin and that was Year 510 of the First Age, around 7000 before Frodos birth. He was tough when he killed a Balrog which ended his life, and...

  • @TheMovieMusicLover he ended the Balrogs life to, him stabbing it to death, but the Balrog grabbing his hair when it fell off the mountain and pulling Glorfindel to his death. The powers resurrected him, and sent him back. He returned to Middle Earth after thousands of years in Valinor with his friend Olorin (Gandalf) He became as powerful as a wizard in resurrection, and the Nazgul - even the Witch King - were terrified by him, as he was more supernatural than them. In the book 5 Nazgul are...

  • @TheMovieMusicLover ...scattered in terror upon the mere sight of Glorfindel. He to them, shines bright and is a deadly angelic force sent back from death itself, death being something Nazgul had lost the privelage to. It was Glorfindel who revealed his mighty power, and magically forced the Nazgul steeds into the River Bruinen - against the will of the riders - where they were then devastated by the torrents sent from Rivendell. Glorfindel rode the white horse Asfaloth, not Arwen.

  • @ThePalaeontologist I know, but in the movie she sort of takes over the role of Glorfindel in that part.

  • @ThePalaeontologist When people talk about liking Arwen they usually are referring to the movie version. I liked the change of her replacing Glorfindel because Glorfindel just drops out of the story after he saves Frodo. Besides, Arwen is hot.

  • @rainysky09 Couldn't of said it better myself! When I was reading the books, I couldn't help but think, "Eowyn, leave Aragorn alone! He does not love you!" I agree with you, Arwen may not have gone to war, but she stood by Aragorn and lost so much just so she could be with him. However, despite the fact that Eowyn acted like a lovesick child around Aragorn, I still like the fact that was able to go to battle. Either way, I like both Arwen and Eowyn.

  • I really wish they would've kept the scene as it was in the book...Aragorn and Eowyn's relationship is much more complicated that just her having a crush on someone who's already taken. Aragorn does care a lot for Eowyn; in fact, he's heartbroken that he can't return her affection. And Eowyn, though she does not quite realize it, idolized Aragorn more than she actually loved him. It's too bad the movies simplified Eowyn; she was one of the best developed characters in the book...

  • Oh my God, just fuck already.

  • Wouldn't they make an awesome match up, cutting down waves of orcs together? Just saying =)

  • its not Eowyn's qualities that make her a better match for Aragon. Otherwise I would CHOSE who to love and be happy and never have a broken heart. Its not in what she IS or WHO she is, its about how Aragorn looks at her and how he looks at Arwen. he lives Arwen. Eowyn didnt REALLY love him, like she loved Feramir anyways. I think it was just a crush on what Aragorn stood for. like he says "It is but a shadow and a thought that you love."

  • @mackayjenn I have to agree. Eowyn's was more of a crush of gratitude.. she was in love with what Aragorn resembled, not himself. And

  • Aragorn/Eowyn Tale - Part 4/4

Eowyn RULES!!! Aragorn and Eowyn would have been the best couple ever, they had the greatest chemistry.

FUCK ARAGORN AND ARWIN (btw she looks like keanu reeves lmfao) which is weird and ugly for a women..

FUCK the guy who ended up with Eowyn (they had no connection, no chemistry at all)...

    ...The End...

  • @88Vectorman88 I see you can't even tell their names.Wow,great choice then.It's Arwen not Arwin,the"guy" is Faramir.

  • Aragorn/Eowyn Tale - Part 3/4

Eowyn's will for saving her loved ones helped her overcome the feeling of getting hurt by the one she loved - aragorn. I'd marry a women with this quality any day. shame how the douche-aragorn missed all that.

  • Aragorn/Eowyn Tale - Part 2/4

Could arwin ever go to the battle field and fight like the way Eowyn did?? arwin would piss herself in front of those elephants lmfao. who wins these qualities? :

    1) Beauty/pretty - Eowyn

    2) Strong will - Eowyn

    3) No fear of death - Eowyn

    4) Give her life for others - Eowyn

Arwin didn't have any one of those qualities. Eowyn worked hard making a connection with aragorn and she didn't surrender to everything and cry on her bed like arwin when aragorn left her...

  • @88Vectorman88 her beauty depends on the eyes of the viewer.I personally do not like Eowyn's looks.Strong will? Are you serious?Arwen chose mortal life and almost died for Aragorn,so just WHAT are you talking about?'she's fighting for her love through the whole trilogy. No fear of death?again,i'd remind you she almost died, and what about when she saved Frodo? She even said,i'm not afraid of death, therefor your statement is pointless. And for point four AGAIN,Arwen sacrifises everything for Aragorn.

  • Aragorn/Eowyn Tale: Part 1/4

Originally, Tolkien intended - Aragorn getting married to Eowyn at the end of the trilogy. but some shit came into his mind and said "aragorn is too manly, lordy and grim for her." and he changed his mind. WTF!?!? give me a fukin brake! Men r supposed to be manly/lordy/grim for women, it's the universal rule!

Eowyn didn't fear death like that ugly bitch arwin. she went to the war and fought hard to bring peace to the ones she loved, she defeated the main villain!!

  • @88Vectorman88 Yeah right, intended, huh?I can't believe a word of what you said, but hey. They DIDN'T get married,Aragorn LOVES Arwen.and will love her 'til he dies,no matter how "ugly" and "useless" she is,she IS with Aragorn, and YOU can't change it with your stupid comments =]

  • @88Vectorman88 Yeah, you're right about all that, but she doesn't defeat the main villain :)

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah he was in love with Arwen and yes never go after taken men, but what an epic fail for choosing the boring ice princess over the passionate strong heart that is this woman... I'm talking to you Tolkien, why oh why did you not stick with your original plan of having them end up together?!? GRrrr. Should've eliminated her completely then.

Clearly looks always win in the end...

  • i have a question...can you get elvish subtitles on the actual movies?

  • Psh ~ Sorry Aragorn, my sights would be set on the single elf dodging people in the back. "Hey...How you doin'?"

  • My god they could have saved sooooo much time if Aragorn just flat out told Eowyn in the second movie I DONT WANT U!!! It's nothin personal! Instead of just leadin her on! To me it seemed like he liked the attention but common man just tel her flat out!!!

  • I hate this scene. Eowyn acts like a child, "but I don't wanna!" She was not a whinning baby in the books! These movies did such an injustice to her character, as they did to nearly every character. Gimli as comic relief...ugh.

  • I <3 Eowyn. always my favorite. :)

  • Now, I love Eowyn (more so once she got herself together and got with Faramir) but during the time she thought she loved Aragorn...I'm sorry but it was bit embarassing. I feel bad for Aragorn cause he doesn't like her like that and doesn't know what to say or do around her. I just had to get that off of my chest. lol

  • @DesertRoses I second that!!!

  • The only scene when Aragorn don't know what to say :))))

  • Could you tell me what is the language of subtitles?

  • @dorotamaj20

    It's Turkish.

  • Anyone else notice that Eowyn is the only chick in Rohan that doesn't have the plauge?

  • feel so sorry for eowyn :(

  • Geez those halflings get wacky just thinkin about their wacky tabacky...

  • I see where you guys are coming from, but do you really think Aragorn would have been like "Arwen, you must go into the caves." He NEVER would have done that- she would have fought by his side.

    And Legolas's dodging :D

  • I think he might have told Arwen to do so aswell..But knowing A how stubborn Arwen could be...I doubt she would have listened!

  • @bingowasmyname, he probably would have told her to do that, but she wouldn't have listened any more than Éowyn did lol!

  • i love eowyn, dammit. she stands for everything i believe in! :D

  • @PrincessSunlynn Too right mate, Eowyn is the ideal woman: feminine, yet able to defend herself. Honorable and disciplined. Compare that list to that Bella Swan!

  • Legolas' vigorous dodging there xD I dunno why but I found that so amusing in this scene, n'who I love this scene Eowyn is probably more suited for Aragorn in some aspects but his one true love is Arwen there's no doubt. But still Legolas's dodging...xD

  • ultimate three way = eowyn+arwen+me :D

  • yeah but it's a bit later when Aragorn wants to take the Paths od Death

  • What age is Eowyn?

  • She was born in 2995, that much is known. And the War of the Ring took place 3018-3019. So she was 24 yo or soon would be.

  • Arwen was supposed to have been figthing at Helms Deep, in the first copies of the film, when it was supposed to be filmed in two parts and under another production company she was supposed to be fighting at Helms Deep and also bring the Sword to Aragorn , but Liv Tyler and the writers thought it wasnt appropriate for Arwen to fight there.

  • Was Arwen fighting in Helm deep in the book?

  • No Arwen dont appear in the Two Towers, but they used the appendix to put Arwen into the movie.

  • Arwen never fought

  • @jewish1972

arwen was an elf who married aragorn

thatwas eowyn, daughter of the king of rohan

  • @TheSilver19991

Eowyn was Theodens (King Of Rohan) niece. :) But Theodens son (Theodred) had passed away so he had heir to the throne.

  • @TheKingOfThePandas

*So he had no heir to the throne*

  • @TheKingOfThePandas

oh yeah, sorry i meant niece

  • Comment removed

  • @jewish1972 She faced against the Nazgul, all of them.

  • My husband

  • At that point of the film, Eowyn whether of excitement or passion, acted a bit silly... (no offence meant, you understand why)

  • Me: "If it were up to me, I'd put a sword and shield in the hands of every man, woman and child"

Aragorn: "Then I am grateful that it is not up to you."

    Eowyn: "I'm not!"

    Legolas: "So that means-"

Gimli: "You are an elf-man, so you have to fight. A very...beautiful...addictively arrousing elf-man, but an elf-man nonetheless."

    Legolas: "Damn it!!"

  • Why does Aragorn get all of the tang. Legolas is the one doing all of the killing. Another unsung hero, just like Mr. Spock

  • Her job was to more to protect the women and children if the Urik- hai broke through, or rather when they did. Eowyn was, in my opinion too young to understand. All she wanted was flash and glory and death, but her purpose, her role required far more than that and she didn't understand it. I think Aragorn is best suited with Arwen; his lover, confidant and equal.

  • Eowyn knew her job: she was impatient to fight, and had a huge crush on Aragorn. Hero worship gets in the way here, for just a moment.

  • I know she knew her job, she just didn't see the importance in it. and yeah, hero worship like whoa here. I felt bad for her, cause even though it wasn't gone into in the books, you know Arwen knew how to fight and Aragorn would never have been like "Go into the caves." Maybe for him it was also how young she was. I dunno. We've all been there and it ain't pretty.

  • Why do you think so?

She's a woman who wants to do something. I think she doesn't want to be like all other women. She wants to fight for her land like the men. Why do you think, she must be a whore then?

  • in film he prefer arwen its just love ;)

  • I prefer Aragorn with Arwen, she an elfe.

  • Eowyn is right.

Some old folks can totter about ensuring food, drink, clothing and shelter for everybody. She's one of the best warriors, not an innkeeper!

And I agree, Eowyn and Aragorn together would be better than Arwen and Aragorn. Eowyn and Aragorn share the same martial hobbies- clobbering Nazgul, for example...

  • -clobbering nazgul- hahahaha thats good!

But I think i'ts better if Arwen and Aragorn are together. Eowyn must always do something. She's so wild, if you know what I mean) and Aragorn and Arwen are different. They can also read abook and it isn't boring for them.

  • Not to mention it's totally an Eowyn-Faramir thing. So it's a good thing Aragorn dumped her... anyway he's like 87, right? Too old...

  • I like Eowyn more then Arwen.. She's also a strong women, but on a whole other way then Eowyn.

  • damn that girl wants to fight.

  • Eowyn called herself a "shieldmaiden of Rohan". She felt honor bound to fight.

  • eowyn and aragorn match better than arwen

  • are the subtitles in turkish?

  • yes

  • And Legolas in the background is desperately trying to dodge the mass of people while Aragorn and Eowyn talk :'D

  • lol his practising his elf dodging

then checks out arwens butt when she walks past if u watch carefully lol

  • "rest" *slash fangirl giggle* yeah right

and you can just see Aragorn going "What can I do about it?"

  • It would have been interesting for the film to exploit the sword-lady aspect of Rohan culture they insinuated a few times.

  • Eowyn is totally cool. I love her. It's a bummer that her thing for Aragorn didn't work out, but he DID already have a girlfriend.

  • it's that fuckin onstar device with elvish powers Arwen gave that hypnotized Aragorn.

  • lmafo

  • Eowyn is awsome! Just because she wants to fight and not sit on her butt while a war is going on DOES NOT make her a lesbian!

  • 0:59, pause it. It looks like Legolas is pinching Eowyns butt or something, and Aragorn is looking over like "WTF?" xD Sorry. I got a kick out of it.

    EOWYN ROCKS

  • hehehe :)

    really!

    good eyes!

  • pekenatespanish-no she didn't know that he loved arwen, she finds that out in the return of the king right before he leaves to go into the caves of the dead.

crazy11yearold-How, Eowyn(and Merry) kills the Witch King of Angmar, and Arwen just stays at home and dreams of Aragorn and her little son. If you ask me, Eowyn rules.

  • I really feel for Eoywn. It's so unfair that the women are not allowed to fight.

  • so come and fight with me at bed :P

  • Lol

  • lol

  • A lesbian? That's what that fucktard calls her? Because she wants to fight? I'd like to see him go to war like her and fight for freedom, probably be pissing his pants, no wonder he's insulting lesbians, he's insecure because they are braver than him! What a little child.

  • eowyn is cool in her right - that she is feister then arwen, she wants to be an equal among the men, and not stick to the stereotypical old fashioned ''women only'' stuff. she kicks ass

  • dont be a fucking homophobic retarded fool. SHE WANTS TO FIGHT BECAUSE SHES AN INDEPENDANT WOMAN WHO DOESNT WANT TO SIT AROUND AND WAIT PLUS SHE WANTS TO FIGHT FOR HER FRIENDS AND FAMILY. THIS WORLD WASNT BADED ON MODERN DAY YOU RETARDED JERK OFF AND DONT INSULT LESBIANS

  • she said too much :s

and at this moment, she knew aragorn is in love with arwen, didn't she ?

    but i could understant... xD

  • She wanted to fight beside Aragorn because she fears she will lose him again like the time he fell off the cliff fighting against those wargs.

  • poor girl

  • ohh she looks pist off
