  • WOW

  • LINDO, LINDO, LINDO!!!

  • @repn87 I know Isn't it cool?

  • muito perfeito sem nenhum erro nunca vi nda tão lindo, maravilhoso e glamuroso no ballet.adorei!

  • Lindo demais!!

    Espetacular !!!

  • in ballet there is no words the image and emotions are the words, she is really beautiful but the black made her almost looked like the villain

  • @repn87 I know!!

  • fantastic

  • I wish I danced this pas de deux when I was a ballerina..loveliest piece of the whole nutcracker along with snow's pas de deux

  • shes gorgeous...

  • She is wonderful..

  • What a terrific set ! The "ice blue" that permeates everything juxtaposed against that wild statue. What a cool statue! I really loved this concept. In the luxurious simplicity of this, I found a very powerful visual statement. A very inspired work ! It felt like "black tie" ballet. Fun!! Hold on.... I'm running to get my tux!!

  • I wish I had never stopped dancing.

  • I never danced a pas de deux :/

    they are great!!!

  • who is the ballerina?? she is fabulous!!!

  • nicely danced, but I don't understand why this is described as "very different." the black costumes are different. but this is the classic choreography...granted it's not done as much anymore it seems...which is a shame...as I find it much more beautiful and cohesive than all the tricks and flips that one sees so often now.

a little more passion and this would be an A+.

  • So romantic.

  • BRILLIANT....... and the way she looks at him! Watch her eyes as they speak to him.

    Peder, in Tacoma WA USA

  • What can you say its absolutly gorgeous, it so moved me too.

  • wow.how beautiful

  • oh crap I'm crying... I always cry when I see something really beautiful ;_;

  • isn't she using a pointe shoes?

  • So, just to clarify, is this original Ballet Bejart choreography? If so, who was the ballet master?

  • So, just to clarify is this Bejart's choreography?

  • I have never seen the Sugarplum pas de deux in black before! It's so lovely!

  • i dont see that many differences between this version and Royal Ballet version, as a whole Bejart's nutcracker is different than the "traditional" nutracker but this pas isnt that far out there.....

  • is that Uliana Lopatkina? or however you spell it haha

  • beutiful... 5 stars

  • she has ahhhmazing feet

  • She's so lovely, what an amazing technique!

  • Damn,,, Bravismooo. brought tears to my eyes!

  • thats a nice tutu shes wearing.

  • amazing ... the couple is very strong and i love chaikovsky ... he's the best

  • The music is fantastic. It has to be one of the most beautiful pieces ever written.

  • They are both amazing!

  • I would love to know who the dancers are in this. The costumes and set were very striking but to my mind, the dance was not different - the choreography being almost the same since Nureyev brought it in. Also the ballerina's extension at c5.10 meant the danseur had to avoid walking in to her foot!

    coraclewoman

  • this pas de deux was danced absolutely beautifully!!!!!

  • beautiful.......

  • BELLO!!!

  • Beautiful set,both great dancers,love it!

  • why do people automatically think male ballet dancers are gay? One of my best friends is in ballet, and he is STRAIGHT. amazingly straight. and he says its nice, because he is the only male in his group, of, like, 30.

  • made me cry!

  • i too am more interested in the costumes than the dance 80

  • that tutu is GORGEOUS!!! is it black with blue lighting or made out of ocean?! lol

  • in the show they say this is the only traditional dance in the whole show trying to keep in theme with the original nutcracker. well the solo is also conventional too.

  • My all time-favorite pas de deux. Very beautiful. :)

  • Absolutely beautiful breath taking technique! And they are so together...amazing! Although, I don't feel a connection between them. I have seen some dancers, when performing this variation, it feels like I'm watching a beautiful and INTIMATE love scene...didn't really get that from this couple. She didn't put enough passion into her dancing. She just seemed kinda cold. Sad to say that cuz they're beautiful dancers.

  • very beautiful. the show i saw last christmas was a bit different, i think. every time the music swelled, the female dancer bent backward. i dont know how to describe it in correct ballet terminology, but it just made me want to cry. so, so beautiful. i wish i took ballet as a kid.

  • Congradulations on having the best comment on this page! :)

  • : ) really? you gave me my first smile of the day.

i know that i haven't personally experienced the hardships of professional ballet, but i imagine there is either an explosive feeling of joy or a peacefulness that happens inside when you really dance like this. so beautiful. i've seen the bleeding feet and heard of so many injuries, but i still wish i had begun plie-ing as a kid.

  • It's not too late to start dance, however old you are. Depending on whether you're a girl or not, even if you're starting at 40 years old it's STILL not too late to work towards pointe! I started when I was 12, and even got into pointes when I was 13, why not give it a try?

  • i didn't like it but her lines were...wow. gorgeous

  • This is actually the original choreography by Marius Petipa, which premiered at the Mariinsky theatre. For something new and original, check out the pas de deux from "Nutcracker: The Motion Picture", or "The Hard Nut". If you can stand the prissy announcers, go and watch Xue Shen and Hongbo Zhao skate to this song.

  • I thought this was beautitful, does anybody know who the dancers are?

  • Beautiful!! Her facial expression is delightful =]

  • she is wonderful, a very nice artistic expression, and of course a good technic. does anyone know her name?

  • She has gorgeous legs and feet!

They work well as a a pairing, but it's hilarious at 1:42 where he grabs her leg by accident!

But those pas de chat lifts (starting at 2:50) are hideous. So ugly. I don't know why they decided to do them that way.

Why did they do this in Black Swan style? It's different - that's for sure....

  • "very different"? I think not. It's the same classic choreography everyone uses.

  • What's this song called ?

  • Beautiful and fluid.

  • Lovely!

  • Ela é maravilhosamente linda!!

    perfeita!! bravo!!

  • this is so beautiful

  • same choreography that Melissa Lowe and Jory Hancock used with the Children's ballet Theater in Lansing, MI, back when I was a kid.. 1990's

  • Her pirouettes are so precise and fluid. Definately 5/5

  • this is my favorite pas de deuxs of the sugar plum fairy

  • I could watch this forever!

Federica <3

  • this was black swan pas de deux with sugar plum music basically. very pretty and unique though.

  • This is not from Swan Lake, it is from Maurice Bejart's interpretation of The Nutcracker. The black dress, though very dark, actually adds a unique look to it.

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • omg..!

    I love ballets!

it's so..like.. unique to be able to dance like that!

    I love it!

This was a very cool Pas de deux!

  • this appears to be tamara rojo?

  • hmmm....well it was very beautiful!!! =))) but just wit de black costumes and sum of de dancing was all a bit "swan lake-ish".... but it was great!! <33

  • I agree her costume resembles Odile's costume. That and I think black is too much of a dark color when the dance is supposed to be part of a celebration. But that's just my opinion.

  • yes i think tha same thing too! :) at our studio the sugar plum n cavelier costumes are purple. :) but then all companys have thier differences. :]

  • Oh are you a dancer? That must be lots of fun. I've always wanted to learn.

  • yea i am! =) hehe its lots of fun but also a lot of hard work too! but its all worth it! :) o realy?!? oh why not?

  • completely new?

    not really

    this is mostly original choreography

    still absolutely beautiful

  • I think the attitude is a bit short for her in the begining. But over all, she's a beautiful dancer!!!

  • and it looks kinda lik swan lake.

    but i love it!! =] <3

  • i really enjoy watching them dance=]

  • is there any others videos from this dancer or this show???

  • What is this dancer's name?????

  • wow it's amazing

  • oh, how i love this song!

  • completly new, very interesting, blak costume and new poses did u see the close pase?..kind of noeclassic..like it..

  • never mind the dancers - I'm playing the bass clarinet solo next in this next week.

    :)

  • This is my favorite performance of Nutcracker. Beautiful. Love the music, and the dancers. I love the black costumes. Very formal and elegant. Romantic. Thanks for posting.

  • shes really great.

i've watch this about 10 times and yet i never get bored.shes really good and LOOK good..LOLZ

    very nice extensions..and nice balance..

    :D

  • I don't get the black....that costume should be with odile in Swan Lake...

  • i know rite?? it shud be more christmasey colored. lol

  • I just watched this video again and I'm amazed by her balance. She can hold her positions (sorry, I don't know the technical lingo) for such a long time and she makes it seem effortless! Bravo!

  • the sculpture in the background is unbelievable!

  • what is this girls name?

    shes amazing.

  • I loved this video i wonder if you have the names of the dancers. Just beautiful!!!!

  • this is beautiful.

  • i dont like the ending pose

  • wonderful. She's so beautiful and an amazing dancer. Her upper body really makes the difference

  • I loved it! the choerography really shows off her wonderful technique! She truly dances with every fiber in her body... she dances from the heart! I loved how they keeped making eye contact, it was so believeable.

  • idk she seems to me like she is not very squared... like her fluency of moovement is not supported enough... also like her center is off...

she is extreamly fluent though... thanks for the post ;)

  • i know i know i should not be criticizing, she is good... but she needs to work on her diagonal too... *cries* i miss ballet, i need to go sign up for some classes...

  • I think your criticizism is funny because you are criticizing a Bejart principal member who is of course a professional and you are a no one......hmmm maybe you do need to get to class and not give criticizism to professionals

  • ok listen honey just because i am no one doesn't mean that i am a stupid single minded person who fallaciusly thinks that just because someone is a principal dancer that means that they are perfect... i saw zakharova dance in La Scala and i had the pleasure of seeing Ferri before she got into abt... i know what real dancing looks like honey...

  • maybe you haven't seen anything more than this ballet video, but i personally know what i am talking about and so do a lot of ppl here who love ballet and have delevoleped a taste based on reason rather than illogical idealistic worship of tittles and notoriety... your simple mind makes me laugh, now THAT is funny....

  • Im a professional dancer under the supervision of the ballet master of Ohio ballet. I think I know what i'm talking about. You dont. Leave it at that and dont make judgements on professionals because you have no talent to do so. Just go watch barbie the ballet and keep the arts for real artists

  • Just because you've 'seen' professional dancers doesnt mean you have the ability to criticize them. Get a job as a dance critic then come back or just keep your narrow minded comments to yourself.

  • OMG!!! ohio ballet... cool, whatever you say, i wasn't trainaned in bologna (italy for your imformation, do you know where that is or o i have to point it on a map for you?) and have danced for 12 years @ the bolognese,i had to stop because i got in a car accident less than 2 years ago...

  • i guess you where closed minded enough to think everyone here is an amatour , right?... so now are you gonna stop it with your pathetic arrogance? and here in youtube there are ppl just like me who know what they are talking about and who comment on things that actually matter, not just shaking pom poms at "celebrities" that just because they have a tittle that makes them a god

  • you are pathetic and immature. I see now why you dont work

  • how can i work as a dancer when i just gor out of phisycal therapy a couple of months ago (and YOU just call me pathetic? i found this extreamly ironic)

yeah yeah accusing me of being immature and pathetic does not make my statements any less true, and it shows how fallacious your logic really is... so you go shake some pom poms now, i'd rather have an actual intellectual conversation with ppl who really think before they talk, and that know what they are talking about...

  • Very nice linda. You go and try to search for ppl online to have an intellectual conversation and I will go and teach class. Have fun on youtube. Peace and remember that negativity started from you and you have to agree that someone was going to argue with you after your first comment. good bye

  • *waves* in italian, we have a saying that states that "ppl who have no talent teach" (chi non ha talento, insegna) and so is in russian and other european languages... think about that...

i am not negative, i am just very honest and have the balls to stand up for my beliefs...

but anyways... have a good class :)and please dance for all of us who can't... you have no idea how lucky you are to be able to pursue something you really love...

  • this just proves that you don't have to be stick thin to be a ballet dancer. love it. good for her!!

  • Ohhhh... she had such a wonderful panche! And I want her feet!

    (Great partner too!)

  • there is some GORGEOUS movement in this dance! wow, good ballerina. and i love that she isn't like a stick. and that her legs have some meat on them. good for her. loved loved loved it!

  • Nice!

  • Hahaha...

    Potty Doo!

If I eet too many sugar plums it makes me Potty Doo

  • i liked seeing the sugarplum fairy in a black tutu and it really reminds me of swan lake

    it was really beautiful

  • The black costumes reminded me of Swan Lake, too. Who are the dancers? They're wonderful!

  • Professional company Ballet Bejart

  • i am the sugar plum fairy this year and i am doing the pas de deux as well. Partnering is so much harder than many people think

  • Tchaivosky era un genio, Marius Petipa ( el arreglista de este pas de deux) tambien era un genio y esta pareja es excelente! mil felicitaciones! They are really great dansers! All my congratulations!

  • meraviglioso!!! la ballerina ha una tecnica impeccabile.. divina..!!

  • this sure wasn't the sugar plum fairy music, so.. that confused me a little. but her balance and strength must be rock solid for some of those extensions!

  • this is the music of the gran pas de deux of the nutcracker danced by the sugar plum fairy...so...this is the sugar plum fairy music!!! they are very good!

  • it is the sugar plum fairy music- it's the pas de duex (duet)

  • Maravilhoso nunca vi nada igual é realmente o melhor pas de deux que já vi...

  • this is beautiful!! Kinda funny seeing the sugar plum fairy in a black tutu though..

  • this is sooo beautiful!!!

    i love it!!

me too, the costume made me think of odile!

    this is soo beautiful!

  • beautiful, her por de bras are so lindo

  • Its beautiful! Though the costume made me think of Odile more then the Sugar Plum Fairy...Lolz!

  • is wonderful...wen i grew up..i want to dance like her..

    i'll try my best...i have more time...im just 13... i stared wen i was 9...:D

  • So beautiful!

  • Who they are?

it is Christine Blanc and Domenico Levre, she was lovely in Bejart's ballets, he is still wonderful

Christine Blanc and Domenico Levre, unfortunately she is no dansing any more with Bejart ballet

  • oh my god, that extension and balance at the end was incredible!

  • Es re lindo!! Pero xq están de negro? Raro... Anyway, hermosa versión!! Congrats!

  • i love this! it so great! i totally love it! and yeah i also love the costumes! so nice! Awesome! =D

  • to be honest i am not too terribly impressed. she has very clean technique but when he spins her for the pirouette her pointed toe keeps ending up behind the back of her knee rather than touching the inner part of her knee... I had a problem with that sometimes too

  • Yeh i agree she does make it easy.... her ponche is gorgeous!

  • amazing.

she makes it look so easy.

    lovely costume too.

    aaah, wonderful :]

  • THAT WAS AMAZING!

  • HOLY SHITTTT. She was breath taking. I LOVEDDDD thisss. My favorite version of this peice ive seen yet. BRAVOOOO!

  • EXCELLENT!

  • why are they dressed in black...?!?!

  • I was just thinking about the same .... ... its strange they shouldn't be or yes ... now I am lost XD

  • ABSOLUTELY DIVINE!

She is so regal, and she has a passion...lovely technique like steel. Who is she?!

Oh, I recognize lots of choreography from Royal Ballet.

  • i agree but im getting my shoes! time to practice! lol

  • Not a fan of this version. She doesn't give the dance any life...

  • its beautiful....i just wish she had a little more feeling and held her turn out in developpe devont....

  • i llllooooovvvveee the nutcracker and this is my favourite part thank you. i love this song

  • Wow. She's AMAZING!!!! I'm probably wrong, but she definately looks like Alessandra Ferri from ABT...but whoever she is, she has awesome technique, presentation, and feet! :)

  • Ok since you are very lame for posting this crazy shit on a sugar plum fairy's video clip you will be haunted by nutcracker music for the rest of your life.

  • isnt this the grand pas de deux from nutcracker??

not sugar plum fairy for sure!

  • OMG that was absolutely beautiful!!

Her lines, her extentions.. her grace!! *sigh*

And i love the music.. whats this song called?

  • ME ENCANTA ESTA BAILARINA!!!

  • what is her name. she's exquisite!

  • A gorgeous Pas De Deux! a gorgeous song! a gorgeous Tutu! what mroe could u want X3!! love this video!!!

  • why is she wearing a black tutu?

  • because black sugar is healthier than the white one...

    I agree! Absolutely gorgeous!

  • haha! ya i guess you're right! she is gorgeous tho

  • I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE this music!

  • extraordinary i love the way she moves.a true ballerina

  • very pretty

  • who are the dancers??

  • Let me tell you, tutu's are not fun to wear, in the least. They itch and you can't sit down in them, but it's a thrill to be on stage with one...

  • That video was so nice!! does anybody know who the dancers are or what companie they dance for!!!

  • I absolutely love the port de bras and leg & foot positions on this dancer. She stands apart from many other ballerinas as a result.

  • nutcracker ??? ballet performance : not the different

  • first, i thougt the costumes were from swan lake act II odile. hehe... but music is so nutcracker! really nice... not to different.

  • it is a version of Bejart Ballet Lausanne, pas de deux from nut-cracker. The remainder of the ballet being contemporary, they chose to give the final scene in a traditional way.

  • Pretty dancer, but kind of boring facial expressions..

And what's with the naked fat chick in the background?

  • I believe the music is nutcracker, isnt it?

  • yes; it's not heard as much because it's not in the suite

  • yup

  • Beautiful!!

  • It´s a little different to the original choreography, but the dancers are great!!! Who are they?

  • actually, other than the costume choice and a few of the moves, it didn't seem too different to me. still really enjoyed it though

  • the dancer is awesome.. anyone knows who she is?

  • That was awesome!
