Reminds me NOT to buy a car from these yahoos @ Burlington! Way to pack snow in the engine compartment as well as potentially damage the grill, bumper, and radiator. Flippin' idiots... Chris Cassidy, you better never touch my XT.
@Grasto Subaru bumper skin is cheap plastic. Front air dam not physically designed to plow snow. I know this 'cause I drive one every day. Snow can absolutely damage cars. Ask anyone who has worked as a tow truck driver or emergency responder. I have seen someone try to drive through a snow bank and ended up pushing the radiator into the fan. I know of a guy who tried to take his car through snow that was too deep and it melted into his transmission and destroyed it.
@jjaynes32 Yeah, Im with you. But the snow have to be a lot heavyer than it is in this movie to damage anything.
This sounds very weird to me. I live in Norway and I have seen many cars driving at frozen lake and so on(including myself). Never seen or heard of anything like that.
@VRSC Point is, dealers selling new cars should not thrash them like they're rentals. When I buy a brand new car, I want to be the one to break it in.
@jjaynes32 You made your point. The snow thing isn't a big deal to me because I live in a province where in the snow will get into the engine compartment wether the vehicle is moving or standing still. :)
Well dude snow can damage cars, but it wont break the front fascia, only damage the paint. And since its still at the dealership, any damage should be repaired before the vehicle is bought. Unless your a dumb buyer and don't check your car before taking it home, in which case you probably deserve a scratched fascia if your too lazy to walk around the car.
@rsxzx6r PSSH. Luxury my friend :) But to be serious, the 4 wheel drive system from Subaru is quite good. But I think I will stick to the good old 40/60 quattro system.
@sampwell819 A subaru is not made to be a SUV, they are a car based wagon. They dont have the ground clearance a jeep does, but for their size and horsepower and torque you have to admit they actually are pretty strong and get through the snow pretty well. they also are made to be more comfortable in city driving and highway driving than SUV's. They have offroading capabilities but dont sacrafice comfort for a few extra inches of ground clearance.
The snow isn't that wet and looks lightly piled. I have a Foz- please do Foz owners a favor by not plying the public with nonsense sales quotes like - "it what makes a Subaru a Subaru!"
0:15 he fell through the snow!

@jjaynes32 How could this damage the grill, bumper or radiator?
Then I have to ask what kind of plastic rocket are you driving? Something like that would NEVER damage a car. Its snow...

Subaru rules!

with a jeep you can pass that more easily
sampwell819 1 year ago
@sampwell819 what makes you say that? because the power to weight ratio is actually lower than most subarus?
swimboy1993 1 year ago
@swimboy1993 because the 4 wheel drive system is far away better than subaru and jeep have more torque in low rpm
hp sell the car, torque win the race... remember that
