  • what kinda horn did that f unit have?

  • great locomotive even if its small

  • Love the 290, hopefully it will be able to return to operation someday.

  • Isn't that New Georgia F-series loco at Stone Mountain Park now?

  • I honestly have no idea.

  • Ok.

  • yep both f units are there

  • cool.

  • @trainkid16 Both of them are. #3498 (ex. Southern #6143) and #3499 (ex. Southern #6147) are now both operating at Stone Mountain, and have regained their original numbers.

  • I shall admit that 3498 became one of the few diesels that I have enjoyed on video. She was the perfect companion and contrast to 290 on this great trip. Listening to 290 pass and then to hear this great FP7 and her motor roar right behind 290 and her tenders both at speeds of 50-70 mph just sensational.

  • wasnt that the old unit that new georgia railroad had painted in the Southern cresent colors there was one i remember as a kid in Atlanta painted in those colors

  • I also like seeing the FP7 leading. Nice paint job.
