I heard this song in the early eighties at a classmates house, never heard it since but I remembered it somehow. Recently I started getting a riff in my head which I´ve been playing over and over on my guitar and today I found out where I got it from. This song!
absolutely killer version of this song, done in a way that makes you realize its Carlos Santana from the first bar! who can sit still when the congas kick in 1:07?
This is a Buddy Holly tune originally. Blind Faith covered it, then Santana. This is the same vocalist as featured in the previous Santana material.Thank you for posting.

Il Mitico brano che chiudeva le Mitiche serate al music-hall the Momber. Un Mito in versione Disco; in quegli anni molti Miti (Rolling Stones - Elton John - Queen...) si cimentavano con la Mitica musica dance
I know - I just find it odd that this singer sounds so much like Winwood, almost as though Carlos liked the Blind Faith version so much he sought out a vocalist who is a dead ringer.
The cover of this album is so egocentric. I mean, his own musicians - to whom he changes as he changes underwear - are adoringly clapping and cheering him. Come on.
@drkam6 so what's the problem? is just a cover, you don't even have idea what the designer had in mind when made that cover, they are maybe just singing a song, clapping and having a good time, so relax. And about his musicians, they are free men, so they can leave the band when they want to do it or when they feel is time to go in another direction , he doesn't own them , so once again relax man and enjoy the music.
@billythehoople The music of this album is BAD. Santana could have become one of the greats, however he has an enormous ego thinking himself of a latin-blues Jesus. Masterpieces like Welcome or Borboletta were pretty much thrown to the garbage by this time. All the guy does nowadays is selling a hyped image because he knows he's lost a place with greats such as McLaughlin or Metheny (although he believes he's one like them). And YOU are the wanker.
@jjojjorge Pretty much no fx... just old Boogie heads/combos, and the wah in those years was a Mu-Tron C-200. For delay just a Boss pedal... that's it. Santana hated using pedals to sustain.
@drkam6 yeah, I mean it seemed to me like he pretty much limited his playing to the basics. I mean pedals and stuff are great but it seems they take away much of the feeling.
@jjojjorge Between 1976 and 1979 Santana used a Yamaha SG-175/SG-2000 guitar which had an embedded metallic plate under the bridge for sustain. This is how he got the furious live sound on Moonflower. When he changed to the PRS in 1980 his sound IMO became lame. It also matched with his continuous decline in musical creativity. I used to be a big Santana fan and he was one of my playing influences - sadly these days the man is not even the shadow of the guitar power he used to be.
@drkam6 Thanks for the information; I'll see what I can learn from it. One song I really like from those three years is "All I Ever Wanted"; I guess furious sound is a great description that song too.
@drkam6 That's how it usually goes, look at the greats of all the different genres of rock. they have a creative peak in their mid 20's-30's then fade out. Rarely do they find that inspiration again. it's a shame but they do pass down their muse to others that get inspired by them and the art form continues to grow in different directions.
@drkam6 I agree with you all the way. I've been listening to Jorge Santana these past few years. It's a shame he doesn't have much material out there.
