Not bad. I like it much more than "My Dinner with Andre"... It is my perception that the whole argument of systems theory, the holistic paradigm, ecological thought still seems to be held back at arms length by most of science. There is still the search for "particles"... which seems kind of pathetic.
By the way, if you liked this you should see Waking Life and Slacker wich aboard interesting philosophical subjects as this movie does with the only important difference that this movie to me teach about what to think and those others let you know about different points of views that makes take your own sides.
Second: Quote, "Science does not need mysticism and mysticism does not need science but man needs both" -Fritjof Capra
Is not a bad movie thoug I really wouldn't like if this ideas get into people's minds as empirical ones, we should look at it with criticism as everything and understand that this is half mysticism half science. Also and very important I found some of this "scientific" statemant to be out of date and not proven. U should search
You know, the only way to know how the systems work is to take apart the elements of the system. It seems she is talking about study and policy making should only be done through statistics and just guess on how the the statistical outcomes interact. I agree we can get too dependent on "clockwork" problem solving. But, "All our science, measured against reality, is primitive and childlike-and yet it is the most precious thing we have." -Albert Einstein. The only Einstein quote I hold dear.
this is a GREAT film. I think it should be shown to every college student and every household. I love it. thank you for uploading. VERY hard movie to find on dvd
yeah I am totally glad that this movie was on here. I heard it from a video from Dr Phil Valentine he spoke about this movie Solvent Green and some others. But this was a GREAT film.
