@underthedarkrock The literal interpretation here is that she was dying, and the king told her he couldn't live without her. So she basically told him to go die. So now the king is dead, and the queen is dead, and there's no one left to rule the kingdom. A rather spiteful last act, really.
The song isn't actually about a man. The King is a metaphor, for the darkness within, holding her back. She has a moment of self-realization, which brings the darkness to light. and since nothing of the light would kill. The darkness knows it's only way out, is to kill itself. Igniting her Freedom.
Is it just me, or was she sort of a bitch to the king here? I mean, she had legitimate grievances against him, but it appears that she also had the ability to leave him if she wished, since that's how she caused him to kill himself. She only actually did so when she knew that it would cause him to kill himself. She didn't want to lose the luxuries, just to gain freedoms. By leaving not to gain freedom, but to kill him, she was killing him not for freedom but for those luxuries...
i just found out about her and i heared all the songs but this one is my favorite one!^^

@christiangoth84 The way I gathered it, she was dying and he asked her not to leave her. I could be wrong, but that's just how I understood it.

@underthedarkrock *and he asked her not to leave him. It's too early for intellectual thought.
