  • This and Concrete Gold are probably my favourite songs of wu lyf, but i love ALL of their songs

  • listening to the guitar that comes in at around 1:00 was the first time i've ever cried over a song in my 18 years long life. it's so amazing.

  • Is that ODB at the end!?!?

  • This music is so great but I don't understand a word. (Only:"I love you forever!")

  • @vojtezslav that's part of the greatness, it's the sound and emotion of the sound

  • WU LYF make me very sexual. All over my skin, they're a mash of holy and unholy.

If I ever attend one of their shows I shall be nude, rude, drugged and promiscuous.

  • @ninjabunnyhardcore ... You win. Congrats!

  • @Genlocks Uhm, ok? :)

  • hahah tagged as thrash metal. fucking brilliant

  • I don't understand half the things he's singing, but fuck I love it when he says 'AH LUVV YOU FOEVV-UHHH' :D :D hahah

  • Glorious music.

  • Doesn't matter if you're rich or poor when you make music. It's whether the music is good or not. Doesn't matter if they have a manager or they're popular either. If the music is good it's good, if you don't like then don't listen. You're arguing against people who like the music already, it's a waste of time. You won't convince me or anyone else that music is bad because the people who made it didn't come from council house.

  • imagine no one gave a shit about the marketing? :s i dont recall having a playlist titled 'Well Marketed Music'....:$ here we have a classic case of "i dont really like this bands sound, so i'll attempt to degrade them in some way", and the retaliation of "i'll defend them at what ever cost" guys, its music, not a court case. give over and enjoy the sheer bliss of WU LYF

  • Comment removed

  • @MrHubbubhub very nicely explained.. now, please marry me

  • love the odb outro...great tune!

  • & if it was clerverly marketed & funded by some successful, rich businessman who gives a shit it's still good music!

  • I don't know why so many have so many bad things to say about WU LYF. I personally think they're extremely original, refreshing band. I know for a fact that they weren't managed by Warren Bramley BEFORE all the hype started surrounding them, it just seems like very honest & passionate music to me. Best band since Arcade Fire for me. Maybe it's too early to say as there's only one album, but I'm hoping they prove me right.

  • Is this the music video?

  • dull hipster droll

  • @almightyjass And what have you done with your life that allows you to pass judgment?

  • @MrG2v2 well it is instantly forgettable meta indie music. extremely well marketed but it is just dull. it appeases scene kids and sounds like a rubbish gomez. therefore- dull hipster droll

  • @almightyjass it hasn't been marketed at all. Get to know your stuff before trying act like a big boy

  • @louisjcm guess what pal? they are managed by Warren Bramley and his creative agency four23. who have worked with huge clients such as adidas and virgin. It was his idea for them to charge 50 quid for a demo and to market themsleves mysteriously. Read up before you try acting like a big boy :)

  • @almightyjass if you'd 'read up' you would know that the £50 demo is a total myth. the whole point they got a buzz was because the music was great and you had to find it they didnt push themselves onto anyone jesus christ

  • @wearepeers no it wasn't, I saw it on their old site, it was 50 quid. you can't deny the sheer amount of marketing has had a profound effect on their success. they were a self styled enigma and now they aren't. utterly forgettable

  • @almightyjass unfortunately dont believe you, ive seen an interview on youtube and an interview in the NME that it was a lie. tell me exactly how they have marketed themselves... every band has to obviously, it seems that wu lyf anti-marketed themselves to create the buzz, no interviews, no photos no nothing except the music for the first year or so

  • @wearepeers jeez do I have to go all over this again? google guardian wu lyf and read the second one down. if you can't be arsed to- they are managed by a huge firm who make ads for adidas etc. the anti marketing thing is a form of marketing- it cost lots of money and created a buzz that had little to do with their dull music.

  • @almightyjass explain in what ways they have spent lots of money.. ? i know exactly who they are managed by.

yes i read the guardian article. just because its in the guardian doesnt mean its true, means theyve fallen for something the band have ridiculed... £50 for a demo? think about it, what a joke

  • @wearepeers fuck me i'm getting bored of you and this shit song. read the article, or just be a sheep and listen to whatever is on the radio at the moment. you seem dull and defensive. enjoy this cack.

  • @almightyjass ive read the article, ive told you in my last reply, at least read it properly? read an article on nme . com entitled 'wu lyf: the truth behind the mysterys' the author is someone who has had direct communication with the band. Wu lyf rarely are played on the radio... i am in no way a sheep by listening to wu lyf, they have had a big buzz, but are really still small fish in the industry. your getting 'bored' because you've realised you havent got a clue what your talking about..

  • @wearepeers ok so they are very rich kids with parents who work for the conservatives.. cool. and they are managed by warren bradley. and they are on the radio a lot. and they are dull and forgettable like you. bye

  • @almightyjass so forgettable you keep coming back....... READ what im replying to you. your reply makes no sense in anyway

  • I want to love this forever.

  • enfin du bon rock indé !!!!!

  • this Wu Lyf song makes me so happy, I feel free as a child listening to it!

  • i love these niggaz.

  • I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS SONG!

  • i just found you today, and i promise i will love you forever

  • Raw as fuck.

  • Love

    You

    Forever

  • The big question is...are the Satanic? I hope so!

  • @kunderao It's a tongue-in-cheek nudge. Everyone knows rock and roll music is a utility of the devil's making, duh. The cynicism and wit these fella's evoke is crucial for a healthy minded future.

  • This is the first time I've heard them. Are they satanic?

It's kind of cool but there's no hook at the begining and that's really important. You need to hook listeners in, not make them wait. I don't know what I think of this.. What the hell are they even saying?

No. Just no. This is not for me.

But I kind of like it..

    I JUST CAN'T DECIDE

  • @cigaretteskinny21 man if your criteria for rating music is based on hooks and lyrical clarity maybe you should just go listen to some beyonce (i wouldn't blame you though, she's p. rad)

  • @GHOSTBONERZ True! I have to try and like this music, for what it is

  • @cigaretteskinny21 You took that better than I expected. Good on you.

  • @cigaretteskinny21 your remark does you kinda credit. though I'm absolutely in love with these guys and their amazing work. I don't know. try again. bye.

  • @yackoftheyear Well I'm trying to like them! Haha. Why do you like them?

  • @cigaretteskinny21 when I first heard them I couldn't figure out if I loved them or hated them and made myself listen to them more and more to figure it out and then one day it hit me and I fell in love and they are one of my most listened to bands now :)

  • @cigaretteskinny21 oh, first I like them so much because of their incredible songs, that sound so true to me, so deeply pure. they are so young! I've heard that they are 20 years old or less on average. and it pleased me to believe that they could stand for the new generation, that I wish I was part of. yeah, that's what I feel about wu lyf. anyway, I'm sorry for my english. bye.

  • @yackoftheyear yeh they were in the same year as me in collage, funny guys, I love there lyrics to the core!

  • @yackoftheyear Thank you! That helps a lot. I see why people like them :)

  • Are these guys satanic or something?

  • Holy fuck

  • I've read that they're from Manchester but surely the lead singer isn't?

  • ODB loves you!

  • i saw them about a month ago, they are amazing ,after the concert the lead singer went in the middle of the crowd to see the next concert,it was a festival, with a beer on his hand and no body guard.the fans could talk to him ,he was so amazing,he's an amazing musician and a fantastic person.

  • @SaraDanielaSilva why the fuck would he have a body guard? hes from a small manchester band, its pretty normal for small bands to do that.

  • i listen to this song every night to kickstart the playlist that i listen to as i'm falling asleep, because it makes me HAPPY

  • This would so be my kind of music, except I can't understand anything he's singing. It's a cool style but sorry, can't do the mumbling-singing thing.....

  • @TheAliceOfShredd sometimes you don't need to know what their saying. The musicality speaks for itself.

  • @Mell20451 Oh trust me, I understand, I listen to foreign music and don't understand a word of it. It's just that, with this song, I can't even hear syllables or consonants or anything, just mumbling. I'm not hating, it doesn't work for me though. Which is a shame because the other components of this song are great...

  • @TheAliceOfShredd Lol me to, but it's something new and different and clearly intresting. I would rather be hopelessly confused than sure of what I would hear next, you know :P. Sorry for commenting, I dont mean anything mean or condescending my it.

  • fucking epic.

  • who is that at the end of the video? looks like a Mtv guy.

  • @TKero92 its ol dirty bastard! :)

  • if this band got a decent singer theyd be amazin

  • Wow. Love from the states, sounds so amazing.

  • Epic.

  • you know what they sad : $ is NOT your friend

make your fookin life beautiful without fookin money

boycot banks, corporates, do NOT spend, away with fookin' credit cards, eat less and do not eat animals = your brothers, YOU fookin' canibal,do NOT go in restaurants, no money no stress yes happyness, just air & SEX, % is NOT your friend // WU LYF //

  • @JUGAopet1 Yeah, good luck with that over idealistic view of life. It has been tried before. It has not worked. The people that tried it last, sold out & are the ones stomping on the new generation now. Wu Lyf wants you to think they are your friend, in order to take your $. "Fookin" naive idiot. Let us know in five years how long it took you to change your mind & point of view, kid.

  • dAAddAddAAAdDDDa, Artintelectual, Great 2 ME

  • I love how Thrash Metal is a tag.

  • I can't understand a single word the lead singer is saying.

  • This band sounds so Los Angeles, yet they are from Manchester. Confusion in my brain.

  • singer sounds like Mystikal, you people actually can sit there listening to this? LOL

  • manchester is on fire right now!

    everything everything

    eygyptian hip hop

    dutch uncles

    lonelady

    kong

    and of course wu lyf

    oasis who now? :D

  • @danlikesmusicalot - The problem is most of them are student shit

  • @tescocadaver well whether you like them or not is a matter of personal taste, but part of my reasoning for choosing those artists was because they illustrate that there's a large and diverse range of new music coming from Manchester right now.

  • @danlikesmusicalot - Fair enough, well said

  • GOOOOOOD SHITTTTTTTTT

  • all the great bands come from the north

    - the smiths

    - the beetles

    and not forgetting WU LYF

  • Having seen them live 2 nights ago, I can safely say the drummer is by far the hottest one. Epic show, stayed at the front row. <3

World Unite Lucifer Youth Foundation - Love You Forever

WU LYF, WU LYF, WU LYF!!!!

  • british sea power vibe

  • Not bad.. Not amazing either though to be honest.

  • So much love for these guys! Incredible.

  • FUCKIN YES ONE MILLION FUCKIN TIMES

  • Can someone plz explain the buzz around these guys to me? I mean i like the sound, v chilled...i just don't feel i'm getting the endless awesome and mind-rupturing originality promised by a lot of descriptions i've read of their stuff yet

  • @dexter471 its because they dont release a lot about themselves as well as rejecting offers from established record companies is what gives them a hype.

  • Anthony Fantano disapproves, having no taste in music I will agree with him. A light six to a high five.

  • stopped watching at 1:48

  • sounds like hakan hellstro

  • proud to be english right now

  • keep your lo-fi to yourself.

  • drown your ears in LYF, fore it's contagious. and make sure lucifer is calling for good measure

  • This song is one of the most beautifully crafted pieces of music ever. No joke

  • @philofthephilstons Honestly, the word 'pretentious' should probably stop being used altogether in relation to music. I fucking hate it.

  • 6 people who watched this video have no lyf!

  • @philofthephilstons

Pretentious; why? Because they are neo avant-garde and believe in their own ability? Because they don't adhere to the standard music industry structure? To offer such a basic view upon a commentary page without backing up your opinion in any way is just infantile.

  • @LSGaravard Despite all that they have no distinct sound of their own. They sound like a whole bunch of other bands. Old bands.

  • @towerblockrock which bands?

  • My new favorite band. SHIT IS GREAT>

  • The raw power and emotion of his voice is incredible, love you guys!

  • just realised WU LYF played the sydney opera house, spewing that i didnt know earlier :/

  • sounds like Terris

  • why lucifer thought? im confused

  • OLD WU AND NEW WU

    LOVE YOU FOREVER

  • lol ODB at the end

  • This one has a certain Pop Group / Mark Stewart vibe to it. The dancing is beyond good and evil, too. Nice indeed. Go on, LYF!

  • California is waiting!

  • World Unite, Love You Forever.

  • 01:02 epic scene!

  • @gwane thanks man, much appreciated.

  • @RyanxDwoo It's ODB from Wu Tang Clan

  • Does anyone know who the guy is at the end of the video? o.O

  • does anyone one know exactly what is the Lucifer Youth Foundation?

  • @deshiboy99 If you go on their website it is pretty cryptic but I think I have worked it out.

Basically...they believe that you shouldn't live your life and do things with the one priority being that in the end you will have money and be financially secure. They believe in leading their own life and doing things how they want to, they were offered a record deal but they do everything themselves; including releasing their album on june 13th.

  • 6 people are going to heaven

  • Skins much?

  • anyone know which mosque these guys preach at?

  • I spy wid my glass eye...absolute bare talent here, spilling over the brim. Supersonic style, supersonic sound and an image you can set your watch to. Give me more, I want it on a plate, with a double egg and plenty of brown sauce.

  • WU BANGER 2011 GORILLA ANTHEM

  • anyone have a link to download this?
