  • great answers, ive been watching antonio for over a year, hes quite the human.

    great new look dude.

  • c child can't speak a language. highly unlikely they can talk about God, cars, and or science.

  • wonderful interview man, I like the part about not letting school get in the way of your education especially :)

  • Maybe you forgot to mention russian and polish haha , I'm sure you'll learn them one day ! Also vietnamese is very interesting if you learn cantonese because there are some similarities !!! Maybe you could also explore taiwanese and hakka !

Travel, travel and travel as much as you can Cody !!! Just save up and you'll be very surprised if you go to Asia or Europe or any continent !!!

Why is arabic your biggest Dream Language ?

  • @loki2504 Quite simply, I really like the language. It sounds cool, the script is beautiful. Also I would like to be able to read the Qur'an in its original form, and eventually become a Hafiz (someone who has completely memorized the Qur'an.) I would also like to travel to Arabic speaking countries someday. I want to write some books in Arabic someday. No matter what country I'm in, I can go to a mosque and find somebody who knows Arabic.

  • Adults learn even faster than kids IF they know how to go about it ! but most adults don't know the way ... I learnt 3 months of turkish and I can discuss a little bit, I don't believe a child of 1 year could do that haha

  • @loki2504 I think children learn languages faster than adults, a 1-year old isn't a good example because at that age they only begin to speak their first words. But children from the age of 2-3 and older do learn other languages very easily, for example my brothers learned to speak my mothers language perfectly within 3 months when they were in her country on vacation, they were 3 and 4 years old. I have two other examples like that in my family.

  • @ababayo358 There are adults that can become fluent in 3 months. In fact learn a language in 3 months is Benny the Irish Polyglot's catch phrase.

  • @Codylangaugesblog But that's rather seldom I think, I don't think everyone could do that (but all children learn languages fast). But even then you have to have some sort of talent for learning languages to be fluent in 3 months. For example, I've had English since 3rd grade, once you're done with all the grammar it's all revision afterwards, but still there were always classmates who just didn't understand it and always got bad grades, they could study all they wanted it wouldn't matter.

  • @ababayo358 I think all adults can do that if they have the right attitude and methodology.

  • @Codylangaugesblog I'm not sure about that... for example what I have noticed is that often times people who are good at natural sciences have difficulties with learning languages and vice versa.

Isn't it like saying anybody could master in mathematics? Because that wouldn't be true. Doesn't matter how motivated you are...

But I'll have to think about it more.

  • Very cool video and interesting interview. Antonio Graceffo is awesome. I've applied some of his teaching techniques to my classes and had a lot of fun doing it too. Did he contact you about this interview? I'd gladly answer it if he was interested in my feedback.

  • Do you experience the disgraphia symptoms you talked about when typing or only when writing by hand?

  • @getreallanguage both. But with typing it shows me something is spelled wrong and I can easily backspace and fix it.

  • You can travel for cheap if you take the bus. Get on that greyhound and go to Canada, dude. Hell, you could even take the bus to Mexico.

  • When you start leaning serbo-croatian anytime in the future feel free to contact me :)

  • Siblings :DD

I really like this interview. Just keep doing these videos. You guys have inspired me so I also started channel few days ago. Check it out :)

  • Force of necessity is the utmost driving force behind human behaviour.

  • Dude!!! Google the TaLK Programme in Korea! It's fully paid teaching and you get to learn the language as well. It will be awesome for you as they only allow people from US, Canada, UK, Australia and South Africa to join. Check it out man, I'm sure you will love it.

  • Pretty good talk Cody, very informative and well thought up.

  • @5Language Actually I didn't even know the questions before I started filming. But these happen to be questions I think about all the time.

  • great video Cody, i enjoyed every second of it!! can't wait to talk with you in Arabic or even Aramaic when we both learn it :)

Good luck ... God bless you bro!!

  • That was an awesome interview!

    44:44 minutes of awesome xD

Keep up the great work! :)

  • @Bartisation thanks :)

  • hey cody great vid i am working on my second language german and it is a blast i love it and ive watched all ur vids in german and thumbs up on the native american languages i too would like to learn one since i am Cherokee but um could u message me about the pros and cons of translating and interpreting or make a vid because i am considering that as my profession but i have some time to think about it since i am in 8th grade but yeah nice vid but i hope i can become a polyglot like you

  • @cxkozel I wouldn't recommend learning a language just to be able to translate. Pick a language that you'd like for its culture, literature, its country, your history, or just because it sounds pretty. If you get good enough at that, you may one day be able to be a translator.

Good luck with the German :)

  • @PaulSLambeth yeah i chose to learn german because i like their history culture and i am german then i thought why not use that for my profession

  • BAGUS SEKALI! (Indonesian-Malay: Awesome!) Great talk that held my interest from start to end.

I agree with what you say about adults and children as language learnings. Adults tend to have a lot of hang ups, many of which are sociologically determined, but their actual brain chemistry is not blocked to language learning.

BANYAK TERIMA KASIH (Indonesian-Malay: Many thanks) Keep up good work!
