My first bike was a '95 CB 750. still have hit. first time I went out by myself in my neighborhood I dropped it in someones empty driveway trying to take a left turn at a stop sign. o man those were the days.
This idea is not awful. But a dirt bike is not street legal. I would suggest a smaller street bike. Maybe a 500 for a guy and 250-500 for a girl depending on size and height. For beginners, take the class. You'll never regret it. Then get a bike you can lift if it falls. A Kaw Vulcan 500 weighs about 450 lbs. A Honda Rebel 250 weighs about 300 lbs. Buy them used for cheap. Ride them a yr. (or two if you can't ride all year) and get so confident with them they bore you. Then get a bigger one.
@BravoUnit1000 It depends, check your local laws, but in the state of Georgia, if it has head lights, brake lights, and turn signals, it's pretty much legal.
On my bike, as soon as I fire it up, there is a lot of smoke coming off the whole of the exhaust. Its isn't a gasket. Does anyone know what might be causing it?
@wsterfred it is one of 3 things. 1: leaky exhaust 2: exhaust is coated with oil, which smokes when heated 3: the exhaust is filled with oil, if it is smoking at the tip.
I guess he's kinda right bout this dirtbike first business but in all reality you're gonna have to man up sometime dirtbikes are only good for getting use to operating the clutch....other then that its a different type of riding when using streetbikes
You make a good point. I have ridden both dirt and road bikes. The biggest differences is that you need to use counter steering on a road bike but you can get away with not using it on a dirt bike (but you will ride a dirt bike better if you understand what counter steering is and use it). This is what caught me out when I went from dirt to road bike.
1:02 what part of motorcycle ridin is that shit you doin with your left hand!?!?!? lol fuccin weirdo!
