To us Catholics we are not worshiping these things but honoring and remebering them as heroes of the Christian faith in the form of physical imagery. Just because YOU Fundies think its worship doesn't mean it is. During Mass we only worship GOD and GOD ALONE. In Mass we don't ask Mary to forgive our sins, or the Pope, or the saints, but Jesus only.

The old indigenous religions of Europe were referred to as Pagan religions. Commonly, there are two definitions for the word. That which is not Christian, Muslim or Jewish. And those religions that draw from ancient, indigenous Nature religions.
