My point was that any guy on any NFL roster is a stud. You are foolish if you don't believe that. Being an ex college ball players I would know. They may not be probowlers but they are great players. There are lots of Gators on NFL rosters. There are lots of college stars from all colleges(UM, FSU, etc) that don't pan out in the pros. Miami plays some soft teams, that is my point. The SOS is just a guide. Florida playing in the SEC helps and if you get to the SEC championship game it helps the SOS. Its the coaching staff that molds the talent. A talented high school player needs to be scrutinized and beat and taught before they go to the NFL.
UM staff has succeeded at getting great talent, molding it and then sending it off to the NFL. Name some of our poorer "exports", however everyone with just a little football knowledge knows of our big guys.

1991 was a highly disputed title. Washington was 12-0 and voted #1 by the UPI and USA today/CNN. More publications voted Washington #1 than Miami. Miami played a soft schedule back then. Don't get me wrong I loved the fact that Miami was 12-0 and won a schare of the NC. Just want you to say that Florida is currently a dominant force in College Football but I"m not holding my breath.

The problem I see is most Gator fans think their football history started in 1990. You guys were the 11th team in the SEC to finally win the conference championship, with all that TALENT in Florida. Jim Kelly, Bernie Kosar, Vinny Testaverde, Michael the PLAYMAKER Irvin, michael barrow, jesse armstead, alonzo highsmith, kenard lang, leanoard little, the blades brothers, dan morgan, the canes list goes on and on, those names you named are no bodys collinsworth is a better reporter than player the only good one there is emmit, and channing crowder though he is on my dolphins HASNT DONE SHIT IN THE NFL YET !!

i have my opinion as do you, but we have the stats, the numbers to prove the u breads talent thant matures as they go on to play great years in the pros. uf not so much, ask any true college fan that knows, what the u produces. no comparisions ITS ALL ABOUT THE U !

I agree, UM produces some great pros. Some of us are not just college football fans, some of us played college football as well. Some of us have a little more knowledge about football than do others. Have a good one.

If you look at the rosters of the Fins, Bucs, and Jags. There are more Gators on the Roster than Canes.
Miami has 2 Gators and 1 Cane
Bucs have 1 of each.
Jags have 4 Gators and no Canes.
Just stating facts.

okay but what have the guys for jacksonville done to make you think they are studs. reggie nelson great college career but very suspect since he has arrived in jacksonville. harvey still wet behind the ears, groves will turn out to be better in the end.
chowder very solid player but i honestly dont know the other guy on the miami roster.
buchanon is holding his own in tampa nothing spectacular but being a solid contributor

My point was that any guy on any NFL roster is a stud. You are foolish if you don't believe that. Being an ex college ball players I would know. They may not be probowlers but they are great players. There are lots of Gators on NFL rosters. There are lots of college stars from all colleges(UM, FSU, etc) that don't pan out in the pros. It gets tiresome to here how UF doesn't produce good NFL players. Thats all.

I was merely stating a point. Many people out there talk about NFL players that "suck" or "stink". I always let them know that any guy on the roster is a stud. I have expressed this opinion at sports bars etc.....You wouldn't believe the number of NFL fans that truly feel that John Doe for (pick a team) is a bad player.
I guess my point it that there a tons of GAtors in the NFL...may not be pro bowlers, but the sheer #'s are impressive. I believe there are 43 active Gators on NFL rosters.

Miami has a tough opening 4 games, if they can even go 2-2 in those 4 games they will be in good shape. No doubt thats a tough way to begin a season.
