I have composition dolls and they are in really bad shape. I have seen that they can restore them to perfect condition. The question is that if you get them restored how desireable are they and does it testore any of the value?
This video is AWESOME!Thank you for sharing Martha how to repair these precious dolls. I have a huge doll collection and ALL my Chatty's simply don't and I have been wanting to fix them(some for years) and didn't know how but thanks to you, now I can start!Happy New Year ( :
I would email Martha a picture of your woodpecker puppet, tell her what the head is made of, and ask her this question. But Oxy works on a lot of surfaces. Martha's email: marthasart@aol.com
Will the Oxy work on my Woody Woodpecker puppet's head without any damage? Because it looks like it only works on human dolls. Please comment back. ;)
ehhhh! i had a doll with nappy hair, it was TERRIIIIIIBLE. i wish i had searched you up sooner! i threw her out! i tried to do her eyelids, but i didnt know how to remove the eyes! THANKS SO MUCH!! ♥
I also live in MA, near Amherst. I saw your dolls on ebay and I wonder if you do doll repair for others. I'd like to contact you. Check out my website at EastStreetPhotos dotcom where you can contact me. Sandy
Wow that is really great! I have a charmin chatty and when you pull her string it goes really fast and she sounds like a chipmunk. I love that doll. I still have her outfit but I lost the glasses years ago. Oh yea I am missing her socks too.
Hi, I love this video but I have a few questions please, I replaced the O ring but it still makes a drag sound. It's like something need.'s to be oiled. Does this ever happen? Or does it take time for the o ring to settle > And the video talkes about having to melt the plastic to reseal the doll. What products does this lady use?
I found that you have to grease all the moving parts after you clean them. Very important! I melt the plastic with MEK, read all precautions on the can. You can usually get this at Lowe's, Home Depot or Hardware stores.
Hi i found this video great, could you tell me were to look for the stencil what you talk about in your video as i would like to try this out on my own dolls thanks christine.

If you apply Oxy directly on those areas, I would imagine they would fade. But ask Martha at marthasart@aol.com

Does the Oxy fade/damage the freckles, lips, and eyebrows?
