They just found a way to disguise themselves by making humans see them as humans. They stay wolves throughout the whole thing and they don't actually change into humans, that's just what everyone sees them as. Like in the beginning, they were walking as humans but their shadows were still wolves

I usually don't like these kind of animes, I prefer more of the romancey Fruits Basket type ones. But Wolf's Rain is truly amazing. The story plot is just so touching and the ending makes me cry every single time I watch it no matter how many times I watch it. I really have no other why to describe the show other then saying it has a beautiful story. :)

I guess the reason I had watched Wolf's Rain so many times was because I hadn't watched any others for the 1st 2 times XD I can now proudly (& quite accurately) give the dialog/what happens of most every scene, plus what episode it's in o.O''

I had the same feeling when I started watching Naruto, took me like two years to start watching it ´cause I thought it was just a silly anime, but after chapter 50 or so, you just can´t stop, the problem is the aside stories on the series, full of crap, but the main story gets darker nd darker with time, but the time you get to Naruto Shippuden, you´ll realize you´re watching one of the best animes on earth, and what´s yet to come is even better.
