@verveparty i totally agree! i love what U2 does live to their studio songs, like 'Tryin to throw your arms around the world', the way they twist and move and form a studio song into shape LIVE is incredible, and all the add ons, surprises, etc.-well every band does this, if not, lol, what kind of concert would it be if they sounded exactly like the album, lol, they might as well play the album and lip sync for that matter, lol, i agree this is the most powerfully moving flowing One!

This concert was the best they ever done. They were perfect, with there staging, performance, presence and song choice. One of the greatest concerts ever.

@lenman05005 Um... It's U2's song. It appeared as track 3 on U2's Achtung Baby released in 1991, with lyrics credited to Bono and music by U2. Cash did a cover of it (and it was a very good cover) but it was originally U2's song, and many consider it to be their best song. Supposedly, it was written based on the fracturing relationships in the band at the time, after they began arguing about where to take their music. They say its the song that kept U2 together. :)

I totally love Bono's voice in this song...it is moving to say the least. The Edge is fantastic on guitar, Larry Mullen is one hard-working drummer and Adam Clayton is great on the bass. U2 is the world's BEST rock band...always was and always will be!
this concert was in my home town in Slane Ireland. Here is a u2 joke,,,, when u2 played a rooftop concert in San francisco the police stopped the band playing because they said it was dangerous as bono was standing too close to the Edge
just has to be their best gig ever...... every song is brilliant and note perfect. You can feel the emotion in Bono's voice. Just one week after his father died.
I listen to mostly progressive rock thats not too popular(besides RUSH of course). I thought U2 was a stuck up mainstream band, then I decided to give them a shot... after a few songs i began to witness alot of emotion and the quiet underlying keltic theme, and unlike alot of other bands out there today they stay true to what they do. They instantly became a big part of my day. (still dont like dave Matthew's...;))

@1silversprings Hey man, I LOVE God and God loves me, but that's not at all what this song is about. I guess if you want you can put the lyrics into your own context cuz this song has a pretty universal meaning, but the original intentions of the song and/or lyrics had nothing to do with religion

I totally love Bono's voice in this song...it is moving to say the least. The Edge is fantastic on guitar, Larry Mullen is one hard-working drummer and Adam Clayton is great on the bass. U2 is the world's BEST rock band...always was and always will be!

this concert was in my home town in Slane Ireland. Here is a u2 joke,,,, when u2 played a rooftop concert in San francisco the police stopped the band playing because they said it was dangerous as bono was standing too close to the Edge

I listen to mostly progressive rock thats not too popular(besides RUSH of course). I thought U2 was a stuck up mainstream band, then I decided to give them a shot... after a few songs i began to witness alot of emotion and the quiet underlying keltic theme, and unlike alot of other bands out there today they stay true to what they do. They instantly became a big part of my day. (still dont like dave Matthew's...;))

first; still 4 me the very best version i've ever heard. second; i was'nt a fan of U2 until i've seen the DVD from the 360° tour. this gig had opened my eyes (and ears...)

Im gonna go directly and order the dvd of this show. I bet i will love it even when im 60 years old. Definately one of the best concerts ever made. Their music reaches out to almost everyone. The lyrics are well thought-out and not just random words about love and peace. The message is perfectly clear, they really perform with soul!
