  • i love her tomacheeeeee

  • dun think you can find anyone so delightful to watch .. oozing with feminity and talent.

why would anyone call her a dumb blonde? remembering those lines and dancing/singing .. is not a mean feat. it takes a certain level of talent to perform.

  • omfg woman you're perfect

  • so fucking perfect

  • without earrings,necklace,or blush on

  • Her name is Lolita? Funny because she's a grown woman acting little girlish. Seems to be a perfect fit here. Gotta love Marilyn!

  • ugh blondes are so amazing i love them MARILYN MONROE gone but not forgotten oh baby am on fire STANSHA DIVA BARBIE LUSCIOUS

  • 3:00

Was that look implying he had a boner?

I like how sexuality was more cryptic then, then it is now.

  • Poor broken ignorant doll, you can see in her empty emotionless ugly expresion that in the deepest part of herself she knew she was nothing more than an instrument of an obsessed pathetic and denigrading industry that behind curtains was laughing and mocking at her.

  • 2:58-3:00 is sooooo well acted love it

  • @demigrl21 thanx! :D

  • What is the movie title?

  • @NancyinRedHeels Lets make love

  • <3 Marilyn..

  • i can't be the only one that sees the refrence to Vladimir Nabokov's ' Lolita

because it really pops out for me

  • @hangover844 same with me. very provocative right? my favourite performance by miss monroe on youtube.

  • wtf

  • omg she's so cute

  • Well that was really awkward - but admittedly quite funny.

  • Ok then marilyn, i'll visit your old folks every sunday, you don't need to make such a big deal about it.

  • This song and MM's acting therein was the only best aspect of this movie

  • Is it just me... or does this performance look so fun that you picture yourself as Marilyn Monroe and imagine yourself singing this song??

I envy her perfection >.> I think she was the most beautiful woman in the world!

  • @ChubbyPanda101 she was <3

  • @ChubbyPanda101

fun?? this performance is SAD. she looks like shes just going through the motions, and her exaggerated and unfitting facial expressions betray her willinghness to just get it over with. of course, i am a marilyn fan love her shes the most beautiful and most charismatic actress ever..but still i watch her performances and just think she COULD HAVE DONNE SO MUCH BETTER without her insecurities and intoxications

  • @safarigurl150 I don't think she looks sad. I think she looks tired.

but otherwise, the performance is spot on.

  • Are The Subtitles In Slovak? :o

  • @Cureprincess76 POLISH

  • I've just decided to do some on Marilyn Monroe and i was wondering what movie is this clip from?

  • @leigh1029jada Lets make love

  • Wish you hadn't wrecked the clip with captions on the film when you could have

written the lyrics below your post. It was one of Monroe's finest hours singing

    on film.

  • Nie mogę tego oglądać , ona jest tak niedoścignionym pięknem , że popadam w kompleksy :( Ale mimo to kocham Marilyn <3

  • I love the way she says ''And-aaah...''

  • @RaduRocker1994 polish! :)

  • shes so gorgeous its unbelievable

  • how cute

  • I have to admit that she sang Violetta Villas is better, lacking the sex appeal of Marilyn who is Violetta, I'm sorry ... :)

    See It /watch?v=c1VbtxTjOOI&feature=related

  • @sprytnyAnders Violetka wszystkie te panny pożera na śniadanie, ale chyba nikt nie zrozumie, co miałeś na myśli pisząc to po 'angielsku' ;P

  • The natural beauty will be always popular

  • classique!!!!!!

  • ok, i licked the screen !!

  • wish people could sometimes put more effort into translation of lyrics...

  • wow! She was effortlessly sexy. She can make such an ordinary, plain jane, school girl sweater look HOT, and its all because of ATTITUDE. She had it in subtle spades!

  • BEST PART 1:05

  • Lol she's still remembering the steps - you can see the performance drop for a few seconds every time she moves her arms...plus she looks so chubby here!! Sooo beautiful but wow that jumper is not flattering at all

  • @ntherewas1 she was pregnant, but miscarried. :(

  • the only star that completely over shadows EVERY OTHER THING in the frame..all eyes on her

  • She is just always fantastic. I would wait all day on a set for her if she ultimately gave this kind of performance...And if she felt she was ready to do the scene at midnight and no earlier..well the proof is in the pudding as they say...she is great.

And she is not a singer and dancer by nature so she worked her a$s off to get this right...so I don't know how drunk, drugged or crazy she could have ever been.

  • shoogah doogah doo, shoogah, doogah doo, ooh daddy!

  • Marilyn Monroe... she's, like, the epitome of pure, healthy sexuality, and yet she's so shockingly adorable, it almost resembles childish innocence.

  • @17Konica How could she be the epitome of healthy sexuality and be singing a song about her heart--"it" as it's referred to--belonging to dada? Do you consider the fatherly possession of a grown woman's heart mature sexuality? Marilyn was a beautiful shell of insecurity. She knew what people liked to look at but couldn't for the life of her understand why. If she represents "pure" sexuality for our culture then I think her image has done more harm than good.

  • @floppcock She was acting, wasn't she?

  • @floppcock - of course she represents pure sexuality - she's glorying in it. The radiance, the humour and the absurdity of people - she's making fun of how desperate seuxality can make people. She was totally naturally at sync with it on film. Beautiful!!!

  • @floppcock (she was singing about her sugar daddy. prostitution.)

  • @BabyFarley91 Oh, that's really interesting! Changes things quite a bit.

  • @floppcock ewwwwww lolll interesting...

  • @17Konica i know right! dont you feel like giving her a warm big teddy bear hug? :) lol

  • @17Konica

yeah i am a Marilyn fan been one for years now..but despite her beauty and enormous charisma, i still have a sad feeling watching her. shes a pathetic mess on stage - cant remmber lines, her facial expressions are superficial...her acting isnt great but of course she gets away with it and because of her charisma ppl lap it up

  • This number was the only good thing about this otherwise lame movie! Gotta love Marilyn. :)

  • LOL MON COEUR ET A PAPA ;) LOVE YOU

  • Que sexy

  • The only reason i ever thought about death is:

Will that be a chance to meet her ! :D

  • @oxcoma same here lol

  • @oxcoma i thought that for james dean lol ;)

  • marilyn ,forever!!!!

  • She says my heart, not my body!

  • @FRIEDBREAD62 Not true. Marilyn's iconic status is comparable only to that of Elvis, Hitler, and perhaps Charlie Chaplin when considering icons of the 20th century. Her name and image are instantly recognisable.

  • 3:12 reminds me of "MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE" from finding nemo lmao xD

  • Moi... Mon coeur est à papa... you know... le propriété ;D

  • Perhaps. People compare this to her other work--is this fair? The 60s were a time of experimentation.... somewhat avant-garde.l. It was a big step away from the kind of acting Marilyn had trained for....or had done. Perhaps she was not in a place she was comfortable. Wasn't experimental what the 60s were about?

  • @juliepets2 Marilyn signed for this movie in the 1950s, 1959 to be exact. It wasn't quite the "60s" yet.

  • @chrisb073 This is a very underrated number. Any Broadway star or even drag queen would eat this up!

  • Say what you want about Marilyn - but her genius for finding the laugh is a matter of record!

  • So sad she didn't have a daddy...

  • @xanax189 im pretty sure she had plenty of daddies

  • He got to kiss her!

  • She looks like a child. She is eternal!

  • she is soooooooooooooooooooo cute and hot!!!! <3 <3 :D

  • I love when she says "Mon coeur est à papa"! Great accent!!

  • @OneMoreInHeaven wat does it mean?? ahahha :(

  • I love 2:16

  • @CarlessDaniz LOL!! :D My favorite part too!!

  • Mon coeur est à papa...♥

  • i love the video---

    marilyn!

    posdrovienia :)

  • marilyn Monroe <3

  • @planetary & @BabyFarley91

Actually, considering at the beginning of the song she sings, "My name is Lolita and I'm not supposed to play with boys," I'm guessing it's safe to assume this song is actually about Vladamir Nabokov's novel "Lolita" in which a man falls in love with a 12(?)-year-old girl and essentially kidnaps her after her mother dies. They do have a sexual relationship, but she does it willingly to get things she wants from him, though she does end up loving him in some way.

  • @mlbriseno92 this was made before the novel.

  • @mlbriseno92 the idea of a "lolita" did not originate with nabokov's novel

  • Какая же она женственная! Безумно красиво!

  • Why are you people arguing in the comment section? I bet you both live across the world from each other and you guys are internet fighting... ._.

  • @coolcatashley lol, I know, I had to block him.

  • God, she is BRILLIANT. Her genius for finding the humour in anything is unsurpassed.

  • @planetery its about sugar daddies! :) not incest.

  • My My, Norma Jeanne. lol

  • OMG!

  • For the people complaining about her Weight. She is Preggo here. so yeahhhh.

  • Now I can go for bed happily!

  • They had to sew her into this sweater against her leatart becuase she was gaining excessive weight during filming.

  • 1:39 she's soooooooooooooooooooooo(...) beautifuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuullllllll!!!

  • god she's hot.

  • I always watch this then Elvis Jailhouse Rock both video's explain why their legends!

  • @castiel447 no its about sugar daddies :D

  • erm... Is this song about incest? I'm so confused =[

  • @castiel447 Yes, it is.

  • Comment removed

  • Haha she was too cute

  • "That little ol' man, he just treats it so goooooooooooooood!" This is heaven.

  • what a pretty!!

    i wanna become monroe...

  • 18 people thinks Marilyn is fat.

  • I had to actually explain that this means "sugar daddy" to another adult. :/

  • Soundtrack to a rape.

Don't know which is worse- sick shit like this, or slack-jawed zombies who don't even notice how fucked up it is.

  • @planetery you realise Lolita was the one who initiated the sex in the book right, and that this song is only playing with the concept (Lolita as a term to mean a baby acting girl, or a sexually precocious young girl.) of lolita with a song about sugar daddies. meaning a consenting relationship between a woman and a rich man.. so i dont get where there's any rape in this.

  • @thebowiesfrommars The rape is all around you. Open your eyes.

Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus, Mackenzie & John Phillips, etc etc

Google "Corey Feldman interview Hollywood pedophilia"

And feel free to open your eyes ANY time..

  • @planetery She was referring to her "sugar daddy". not her biological father.

  • @BabyFarley91 Tell that to Miley Cyrus or Mackenzie Phillips. Besides, you realize that things often have two (or more) meanings, right?

Do you know what kind of people populate Hollywood? Better yet- do you know what YOUR entertainment dollars go to support? Ever wonder WHY people like Lindsay Lohan or the Olsen Twins look haggard and cracked-out before they hit 20?

Hollywood is the pedophilia capital of the world- and in that context, incest is a given.

    WAKE UP.

  • @planetery YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! You totally are! I should open my eyes and believe that every one in the industry are pedophiles, I should. JUST because you said so.

Miley, and LL fucked up because they fucked up. They did everything teenagers do, but in the limelight. Mackenzie was a product of her environment, do you know what that was? oh of course you do! because you know everything.

    GO TO SLEEP!

  • @BabyFarley91 Wow.. Really? Fuck you.

Such a tiny mind you have that you must insult other people just to be able to avoid a fact of reality that you are too cowardly or immature to deal with.

Forgive me for trying to give you a head's up on where the hell you are.

Whatever, lady- ignorance is OBVIOUSLY bliss...

BTW- Fuck you twice for insulting incest victims and claiming they are responsible for their issues. i wonder how well adjusted YOU would be if you were raped your whole life

  • @planetery lol hahaha this guy is freaking out and claiming im making fun of incest victims. you're psycho, you really are. you were the one attacking me because i told you what this song was about. but nope, you flipped out on me. im sorry for whatever happened to you in the past, but that's no reason to run around saying people got molested and raped when they made no comment about it. who are you to say miley got raped? no one, that's none of your business what happens in some ones family.

  • @BabyFarley91 NO, you attacked ME for exposing you to a side of reality that is darker than you are comfortable dealing with.

YOU were the first one to be rude ("you know everything", "go to sleep", etc).

You insulted the rape victims by saying they alone are solely responsible for their psychological issues.

Then on top of all that, you MADE EXCUSES FOR INCEST when you said "it's nobody's business."

You are one sick puppy, and don't even realize it..

Crawl back in your hole, lady..

  • @planetery You so funny angry stranger, you were in fact the one who jumped down my throat first. and No, it's not your business what goes on in someones family, that doesn't mean what happens is "right." As far as miley and lindsay goes, they made their decisions, to drink, to smoke, to be provocative. what does that have to do with them being molested? nothing. Mackenzie had an incestual relationship with her father, that's disgusting, but it's none of your business.

  • @BabyFarley91 I didn't jump down your throat- alI said was WAKE UP. You just couldn't handle what I was talking about.

And if you don't know how being a victim of sexual abuse causes serious issues for teh rest of one's life, you really need to stop talking about it.

Saying that incestual abuse does no harm is sick, twisted, and above all, RETARDED.

And coming from a FEMALE? You should be ashamed of yourself.

  • @planetery i said nothing about being a victim of sexual abuse causes serious issues... i did not say anything about that, though it does. as I was saying..

    RAPE!!!!

  • @planetery fame had nothing to do with mackenzie, her father did. so why jump down my throat when i said this song isn't about incest, it's about her and her sugar daddy. NOT HER BIOLOGICAL FATHER! You'll never understand what I'm saying, you're so caught up with your own psychological issues, I'm sorry for whatever happened to you, but don't take your unhappiness out on me. Good day sir.

  • @BabyFarley91 Are you really so dumb that you do not comprehend that artistic works by their very nature have multiple meanings?

The only one who does not understand is YOU.

  • @planetery RAPE!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @BabyFarley91 That's big talk coming from some girl who just left a comment on a Ke$ha video calling her a slut.

    Hypocrite much?

  • @planetery not at all, because she is one. But you're not understanding what's happening. seriously leave me alone. lol

  • @BabyFarley91 Your cognitive dissonance is epic.

I WILL leave you alone, because nothing I say will make a difference anyway. You obviously lack the cognitive skills to comprehend any of the dynamics at play here (especially the ones in your own head).

  • @planetery HELP HELP SOMEONE HELP ME! THIS GUY IS STALKING ME AND I'LL THROW IN RAPE BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT HE DID!!!!

  • 4:48 that guy is so lucky!

  • Clearly 17 people don't know talent.

  • Wasn't this on house of wax? Haha just noticed but I adore mm :)

  • @crazygurl102 This wasn't in House of was..

  • Comment removed

  • I love how she exaggerates "Daddy".

  • YASSSSSSS MARILYN!!!

  • in the famous novel "lolita" by vladimir nabokov, lolita is a pre-teen girl who has a romantic relationship with her step-father, who ends up being controlling and won't let her hang around any boys. so for all you people who think this song is about her respecting her father, you are wrong.

  • @AshyMishyMashy Wow, I didn't really thought of it that way. And mind you, Lolita didn't call him a step-father, they were basically lovers. Strange lovers though.

  • @MARXA123 Of course they were basically lovers, but he was her father for everyone else. They both acted like father and daughter in public. so I think @AshyMishyMashy is right..

  • lol her name is Lolita, and her heart belongs to daddy. ooh cmong guys, it's a vladimir nabokov reference (did i spell his name right?)

  • R.i.p. X siempre en nuestras mentes ;D

  • I gotta get some of those sweaters. Plus I LOVE her spanish in this number! :D

  • @lovejohnniebear24 it's french. not spanish.

  • omg her voice is soooo cute and lovely and sexy :D
