i think you have got the newer version of simant becuse the first version was in 1991 then the newest version that they made it in 2000 i think you got that ive bought that 2000 version today.

@antruler12 I'm pretty sure that this is the same version of Sim ant on the SNES as it is anywhere else. Perhaps you're thinking of the computer version and this one. The computer version is different.

How do you start a new colony on the SNES version? I have an emulator on my phone but I can't find the button to mate.... if there is one.

Um I'm not so sure. o.o it's not that confusing for me. I don't have to mate I just start out as the queen ant and have to dig a whole and lay eggs. after that I'm the yellow normal ant. sorry I couldn't answer your question.

SNES comes like that, infact there's even a way you can be the queen herself the entire game (it's BORING but facinating, you can lay eggs much faster than her). It's like a strategy, you instantly rush the queen and push hella lot of buttons..your gonna die but you'll be reborn as the queen.

I play the old computer version. it seems to be the same, But this has way better graphics and mabye easyer to control. I couldent realy tell, could you take over the house in this version?

Yes you could and it may be better graphics because it is played with an emulator.

I used to rent to old super snes cart for this a few times. I really enjoyed Simant and it inspired me to get an antcolony one day, at least when they were more popular.

This was edited to an extreme, I was not expecting so much editing, but overall pretty nice, a little annoying sometimes but it is a presentation of simant gameplay. The music was fun :)

Who Knows, I estimate if it's in good condition a couple hundred dollars. That's if people really want it though. It it's just another one of those junk games like the Virtual Boy I don't think it would get much. But I doubt that people would give up on the SNES.

Yeah it gets boring later on in the game but the funnest part is killing the red ant queen and stuff. I still wouldn't call this game "boring" though.
