I love tough questions, but all she did was state her position; that the bill will allow the government to override medical decisions that doctors make for their patients. She then repeated her statement over and over. Senator Spector had to repeat that he would change the language of the bill to clarify that the government has no such power 4 or 5 times. That was the only question of the whole interview, even though the Senator tried to bring up other problems that he had with the bill.

She was mostly reading what the health care part of the stimulus is and what the reaction of the people to it is - she set it up.

It was one tough question answered 4 times. She should have had a follow up, and 3 more tough questions. Grill him hard. If she just wants to state her case, she should interview herself. I understand the concern, but this is a huge bill, and conservatives have many other concerns with it as well. I just think it would be more helpful to discuss this intelligently.

While you or I might have options based on personal choice, many other people have no choice but to suffer, die, go bankrupt, etc.. Minus insurance in the USA, you will be ruined by ANY serious illness or accident.
