  • This is a gud video. ROFL! Gud. There are women with deep voices as well.

  • As a cis-woman, I gotta say... I swear all the damn time. I swear like a fucking sailor. Even if it feels weird, just be yourself. It took me a long time to come to terms with not being a "normal" girl, as if there's such a thing. I've been watching a lot of your videos, and I just want you to know that I think you are a fantastically brave person and I'm happy to have found your channel. <3 Much love!

  • when you did the gay impression fuck i laughed, don`t be like all like this LOL hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. but yeah know what your talking about gays and transgender are way different.hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha good stuff jordon

  • You have a type of woman's face I've seen many times before, very hot. And I love your style, for me looks like an American hottie but a classy one, nice :)

  • :)

  • I'm a cheerleader on the inside so I wanna have a REALLY high pitch voice and scream it loud! =)

  • My voice is getting way better even tough still not on hrt but practicing is key to passing also.

  • I had to raise the pitch of my voice a lot in order to pass. My voice gave me away more than anything else. Naturally there were a lot of other things I had to change too but I still had to raise the pitch significantly in order to not, like you were saying, sound like a gay man and not a woman.

  • Jooooooooooordaan!! hahah

  • "damn, that was a slip up" lolol <3

  • hey you mentioned that you used to be a singer and take voice lessons, i was just wondering - with the way you now use your head voice instead of your 'chest voice' or whatever... are you still able to sing and project while maintaining that female characteristic?

  • Hi Jordan, don't worry about your voice because it sounds good when you focus it in your head the way you've been doing.

Some biological females have voices that are lower than the one you use. I teach a 10th-grade girl who is the smallest, cutest girl you've ever seen, but she has an uncharacteristically deep voice.

Anyway, you're on the right track.

  • Hey I have three sisters and girls unfortunately do talk like guys sometimes .Swearing bitching and not sounding very girl like. But thats reality so I wouldnt fret over talking like a guy girls do it all the time.

  • I think women do sound different than men and its easier for a man to see someone as a woman if they have a feminine voice. You sound female to me so I am straight and I am being honest when I tell you sound female when you talk.So I guess keep up the good work it would be easy to talk to you without getting all focused on your voice. You could focus on the conversation instead.

  • This video really helped. I never consciously try to "talk like a girl." I actually haven't even watched any of the videos I posted because I don't like seeing myself--or hearing myself for that matter. Why? I look and sound (to me) like a guy. I hate it.

Your video got me thinking about what if I'm doing some of the bad things you talked about and don't realize it? I could be doing it subconsciously because I want to sound like a girl. I might start paying closer attention.

  • I think your amazing

  • you look kinda like Synyster Gates!

  • You are absolutely right about the variety in women's voices, so you should listen to yourself and not be self -conscious about it (if you still are). My first husband's mother was this imperious Jewish woman, and her voice was very deep. We often kidded about the fact that people would call the house, she would answer and they would ask for the woman of the house. We're just all in this 'human stew'.

  • I would like to coment. You talked about the voice range and pich. A good friend of mine who when i say the name you will notic who it is. She was born female and her voice never was what sasiaty would call that of a female. Yet she has her own distenct sound. That person Is Tanya Tucker. She has always had a deaper reaspy voice than that of a female. So just act yourself and don't let it bother you how you sound.

  • @katiexdresser Hormones don't do anything for your voice unless you happen to be FTM.

  • Your voice sounds great....like Lauren Bacall....deep....throaty....and sexy.

  • @katiexdresser yeah they do help, but cant really answer how much since I dont play baseball from that side of the field u know, but @minorqback might be able to answer ur question with more details xD

  • hehe, that didn´t sound gay at all... more like my bg, when she´s bitchin^^...

the stereotypic "gay-" back here is nasal, arrogant and breathless... french?

"gender within the gender"- well said. From Drill-Seargent to a Violine-Dreamer... would be said a lill´ bit to much, but describes my case^^. Voice is situative as ya said... defining it´s spectrum through what you do maybe...

glad my sport is flexible... needle tops broadsword anyhow... guess what holds this tavernmaids updo^^

  • Using 4 letter words in an intense game in common even in girls or ladies. I once saw these middle age ladies tennis - couples. If one missed a shot, there was a whole data dump in 4 letter words. It happens. Probably the best way to learn how to sound like a woman is to listten to women and try to immitate.

  • please do a how to video on how to make those addorable collarless t's. or at least tell me! so cute!

  • for what i've read and see, it helps to think melodic instead of a "pedal" or monotone in musical terms and you'll be closer, less "body" not necessarily high pitched.... lots of practice i guess, and as you say, choosing the words helps a lot also.. great vid

  • I call my voice a work in progress, but it works when people see and talk to me,i've had no issues.I think the same is true with you, your beauty and voice work for all that see ya.Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

  • gosh ur a stunner !

  • Your laugh always makes me smile.

  • Good video, very thoughtful .prety features.

  • Next topic should be what is it like being a tall trans woman. I am a tall trans woman just starting out and I am just wondering if it causes many problems passing in public. I think you look great.

  • This is awesome. I do notice that when my persona is uninhibited my mannerisms and the things I comment on are very... well... feminine? Haha, I feel like when I speak from my lungs I'm acting. I've always felt that way haha. My voice feels much more natural when it's in my nose and mouth.

Our time is by no means wasted by your videos, btdubbs. AND your shirts are really cute so no shame girly.

  • great video :P

  • You know, I don't quite agree with the last part about "talking like a girl." I've found in this day and age, girls and guys talk in all sorts of mannerisms. Since I've realized I'm trans (still pre-everything, except therapy), I've discovered one important thing, FUCK GENDER NORMS! All that matters is that you are you and that you don't have to change the way you necessarily act to fit some requirements that others might have to be a woman (or man for some)

  • @KarinIris123 Hey i totally agree. I think i am trying to say that but badly. I say that my gender (athletic, boy-ish) wouldn't talk all soft and stuff. So i am battling with my gender, within my gender. haha. the craziness never stops.

  • @minorqback About the sing songi thingi while speaking in female mode, I've discovered that a very flamboyant flaming gay guy does it too. That's how I've learned how to talk with female manners, but toned it waaaayy down so it doesn't look too obvious. It worked for me.

  • @KarinIris123 I agree, the known gender roles for "men" or "women" are actually unnatural. Gender roles as we know them were created by sexist people whom just wanted a way to quickly narrow-down if a person could f*ck or be f*cked. These old people were so closed minded that they could only see others by their body & were unable to appreciate the soul; the person inside the body.

The sexist world system most end.

No one should have their lives prescribed by the shape of their genitals.

  • you look great

  • your voice is fine Jordan ... but i did like your gay man version it made me giggle .... i sound like that once ina while ,,,oops! hey Jellybeans Bday was today we had a blast at the beach i will post a new pic of her soon take care and have agreat week!!!!

  • I think you sound very feminine!!! You also look very pretty.

  • Thanks for the tips. I need to work on my voice. My therapist has recommended a local speech clinic.

  • You height is intimidating to a guy like me but you're pretty in the face. Play the guitar for us, would you? I wonder who's a better guitar player between you and"Jesslyngirl87" on youtube.

  • @ChurchOfTheAtheists lol i like how i was mentioned in this comment.. i suck . she would prolly win

  • @Jesslyngirl87 Don't try to use your tricks on me, Jenson. i know how you work. This is how you work: you say bad things about yourself and then out of sympathy, people say good things about you to make you feel better. I call your technique "the puppy eyes". "The puppy eyes" are also used by homeless people, gold diggers, and spoiled children. If you want to sell more of those sticky notes, why don't you use that technique I tried to teach you: make them think with their genitals

  • @Jesslyngirl87 sex sells. Say to your viewers "if people buy this amount of sticky notes, then I will do a sexy dance." One pervert might buy all of them just to see you do a sexy dance. Even if people did buy the requested amount, you could lie and say "only ten more to go" and ten more extra sales could be made. I'm a fucking genius.

  • @ChurchOfTheAtheists The ten extra sales wouldn't work actually. Some angry pervert would say "Hey, I bought the requested amount! Why are you lying and saying 10 more?" So scratch that idea.

  • @ChurchOfTheAtheists I'm drunk on wine right now... for the record.

  • Wow that does actually help "talking out of your face" and I would never think of that but there is sooooo many things I have to change just to come off "feminine" I was told I eat like a boy lol I was like, "Uhhmmmmm ookay"

  • dumb question. have you thought about having surgery on your vocal cords as an improvement?

  • @pgingere Its not safe and a lot of the times if ur a singer you cant sing anymore and ur voice can return to how it was before your surgery

  • Awesome job, great advice.

It's always good to hear it from different perspectives.

  • i agree with you love your vids dear
