a great song by a great singer that will forever remain in our hearts specially for somebody that has been a very and has played a very important part of my well being someone that had made me a complete woman. dad i will forever cherish the 45 years we have shared together. our children will always have a great memories of their dad, ee love you.
Ray Peterson is an old favoriteof mine, and even Roy Hamilton's voice could not outdo Ray's version...I still have his long play (33) record...together with other 45s. Such a voice, ranging in different octaves!

This is the most BEAUTIFUL Song Ever. I can't help but thinking of my ex when I hear this song. I will forever love that man, right, wrong, and built so many great memories for 22 yrs. of marriage.
Ray was a very under rated singer he had a 4 octave range in this hit that certainly not used, many of Ray's songs would reflect this great talented entertainer. Sadly Ray passed away from Cancer in 2005. RIP Buddy. your songs and the area of music lives on.
"till then" two words a very lonely words for a couple who did not managed to interpret the real meaning of it, a promised to a love one that his/her coming back but due to a reason that promise did not happened....
@jimmielapan I can relate to this. Lost my true love when I joined the Navy in 1963 -1967. Promised to wait, but you know how that goes. However, my country will always come first....
I agree great song and voice. He had quite a range. He also had a song "I Could have Loved You So Well" which is a great song also not to mention "The Wonder of You" the best maybe of all. RWB

Nicely done arrangement, but still prefer the doo-wop renditions by the Classics etc.
