it's not just the male fantasy of a subservient wife it's also the post war, 1950's culture. all women, regardless of race, were expected to be subservient.

The lady at 0:55 is France Nuyen. She is half French, half

Chinese. She played "Liat" in the movie South Pacific (1958),

"Siu Lan" in Satan Never Sleeps, and was also in Diamond Head with Charleton Heston. She was "Elaan" in the original Star Trek series episode #57 "Elaan of Troyius" She was born in France - July 31, 1939. She has been in many movies and television shows. She's been around and the fact that she is heading into 70 allows her the right to look the way she wants.

wtf. intriguing? exotic can be intriguing but it can lead to one point of view. asian = exotic. nothing more than that. and thus, we see asians in media get all the stereotypical roles, dragon lady, geisha, whores, nerds, kung fu master.

and I extremely think that is a travesty and not something asians want to be proud of. Starting 0:55 - who is she? Asian woman wants to be white? That's even pathetic.

@cepacol06 Thats France Nguyen. Her father is Vietnamese and her mother is French so that means technically she is white.
