  • The Tenor Sax player with the beard and ponytail that is!!! (Danny Jordan)

  • From 0:04 Dizzy Gullespie Salt peanuts speed up :D:D:D:

  • The Tenor Sax players name was, or still is Daniel "Danny' Jordan. His brother's name is or was, Mathew "Matt" Jordan. They are or were from Orlando, Fl. / Maitland, Winter Park area {very close to Lake Howell} Matt Jordan was or still is a very tight drummer. Back then he played in Heavy Metal bands. They both are friends of mine. Danny Played Tenor for Maynard, even back then. {80s to early 90s} throughout Orlando and All around Florida. I hope they both are well and fine!!!

  • the beard on the bari player makes the whole video all the more credible!

  • this would be summer '83-Alan, Hoby & Hugh Ragin-trumpets-Stan left fall '82

  • when was this?

  • Judging by tour shirts and personnel, I'd say late summer or early fall 1982, no later than 83

  • It is prob past 83 or later in 83cause stan mark isn't there and there is a vid of him playing lead in 83

  • Walkin', Night in tunisia, round midnight, salt peanuts, Im not sure wat the last one was, or maybe it was just an ending to the medley

  • @selector111 Chasin the bird. Another parker tune tastefully splashed in there.

  • @selector111 chasin the bird

  • Thanks Brian!!! (forgot to say that before!)

  • DDB is amazing.

How about Bissonette banging the skins?

  • No one in the world is better than Denis DiBlasio. And besides sax and wind instruments and scatting - as a person.

  • Few people if any can make the bari their bitch like DiBlasio can.

  • Jesus Christ, DiBlasio is a God.

I'm sorry but I think he even puts Maynard to shame on this one.

  • Hoby Freeman, Alan Wise also split with him as well.

  • who is the lead trumpet player?

  • wow....

  • FAIL.

  • guaaau, que buen video

  • yeah man it was the Mason Dixon jazz camp in Gettysburg PA. He's not in the faculty anymore but the other guys are top-notch too. I recommend it

  • those are some real musicians

  • There is only one Denis DiBlasio - as a musician and as a great person!! Anyone who does not know Den should go out and get all his music - available at Dreambox Media out of Philadelphia. And scat! oh man oh man!

  • I had the pleasure of going to a jazz camp w/this Denis in the faculty. Amazing, incredibly lyrical musician

  • lucky

  • Man, I love that scat solo! Loved the one on the 'Live from San Fransisco' album too. He scats like he plays his horn, full on!

  • Great stuff. More please.
