I feel like this from time to time. Statistically the majority of us will think about it (suicide) at some point in our lives - but i am in that dark place i go to sometimes and the thought is at the forefront of my mind. Ahh, people will say i'll hurt those who love me, etc, etc... but i am totally isolated. Lost my job in the recession and not managed to get any work for a year now... unemployed and isolated.... no wonder i feel suicidal and right now i am looking for the reasons to go on

I think some of you guys need a little life experience. She can't just 'let herself be happy', depression isn't that simple. She represents all those people whose battle with depression and low self-esteem has made them build up a shell around themselves. Try and understand, cos 1 in 50 women are depressed at some point in their lives, so odds are sometime you'll meet someone like that. Try for a little compassion!

Most people don't die from choking, they die from lack of blood to the brain, because the blood flowing to the brain through the jugular is cut off by the noose. You become unconscious and depending on how tight the noose is and how quickly you are found you can be in a coma and/or suffer brain damage.
