First is the male actual the one who started the battering, Or is he the one that can be charged ? Why because he has no physical damage showing, She does. So cops, prosecutors charge the man even if it was the woman that hit the man first. At the very least both should be charge with the crime. It does not happen.

Where are you people get you numbers from. I believe the numbers are based on who is charged not on what is true facts of DV.

I have been trying to find a good video that describes this pattern of control. This is a good one. I am an RN and am required to take Domestic Violence courses, and have seen, and,sadly, continue to see this pattern everywhere. One of the sickest ones is when the Mother's stomach is kicked in by the abuser.
