HOLY CRAP! I had to get one of these when I was only in second grade because I had meningitis. I had a 106.8 fever and an I.V. Not fun. Espescially when your 7. It hurt like HELL. You literally getting a THICKER THAN USUAL needle in your spinal cord, where ALL of your nerves are and,....just never ever ever ever ever get one.
@omgsplace The needle doesn't touch the spinal cord. If it did, you'd be paralyzed. LOL kids *SMH* Most people don't CHOOSE to get this done, they, like you, have to have it done.
@darkdj08 If you would take the time to notice. The peice of paper on her back flows to the bed...the doctor placed it there so that she would not get the stuff all other. jackass
Lp hurts!!!!! I'm 13 and I couldn't walk for 5 days , I had severe headaches and vomiting . It turned out I was low on caffiene and I had to go back to the hospital and have it directly inserted into my bloodstream .
I'm having one in a couple days and am so scared. How much pain did your mom experiance? How long did she have to lay down before they let her go home?
do not allow them top do this without sedation and if the doctor refuses find another one- the reason the like to do it while you are awake is because it is easier for them
