no better feeling in the world than the perfect swing and watching it fly, on the flip side everyone loves going back and laying out for the fly ball. Good video bro
@stretchexpert so if my legs are week they can cause pain? because until recently i was a long distance runner and i totally destroyed my legs and my squat weight went down a lot and my quads get tired real fast in squatting now ?
How can I train rotators of the knee in gym or otherwise? I have watched this video many times and trying really understand how can I develop those muscles? If I do Squats, Deadlifts, Clean, Snatch, Claf Raises, knee bents+extensions and Pistol Squats will those muscles be trained, or do those muscles need some special training?
@BecomeB That is a great question! You are a better athlete when you train your rotators of the knee because they help prevent injury. Yes you can do a 1on 1 with me because then you will learn how to exactly do it and get greater lateral power when you run, jump, and train. Great question-- thanks.
@stretchexpert Ok, if that was great question then comes the not so great question... What you mean with that 1 on 1? How that would happen? Then how much that I'm just sixteen would effect on my training? Example I have heard that it's easier to me get some Speed Power/Speed Strenght or how you say it now, than in few years later. Is there like special things what I should focus on now that would be easier improve now than possibly later?
Can you possibly help me? First off, I had been osgood schlatter for 5 years, now it's gone. 3 months ago my patella ligament ripped off the bone. I did 2 moth recovering and after that I was best shape of my life. Then when I was doing Pistol Squat I collapsed to down, I didn't have enough strenght do that and that scar tissue ripped. Do you have any tips for recovering or prevention more problems with knee. I would be happy if you tell what should i do now(no squat) and what when I'm healthly.
@BecomeB BecomeB you should do a one on one because this way you can get the right information and really recover doing the right things.... healing can take time--- stay with it! get better!
@stretchexpert English is not my own language so even I watch your videos I could miss some things. Are following things true? If I have a flat food, could that cause some knee troubles, should I go to Fysioterphist or what ever you call that, to fint out how to fix that if I have that. If one foot is way stronger can that be reason to troubles with knees? Is there anyway to stretch my quadriceps if I should not put stretch to patella?
@BecomeB no problem you english works:). Look for quad stretch video and you will see how to stretch quads-- this will help you because you must increase flexibility. Yes to physio therapist. they can help but not like what we could do--- what country are you in?
@stretchexpert I'm in finland. And I talked with my doctor today, and he said that I should go to fysio therapist who can show me some recovering stuff and talk with him. And if it's clearly better in month I should go to the ortoped, you know, guy who look, if theres any kind of surgery needed... But now when I got some time when I can't play basketball and run and do that stuff I can use that time with watching you videos, learning some anatomy and watch NBA Playoffs! :P
i have a question. sometimes when i play sports or even if im just walking my kneecap seems to slide out of place then a split second later it slides back to its original spot. Whenever that happens my knee is really sore for acouple of days. is there anyway u can help me out?
Hey, i just wanted to add something, some people have knee pain because of other problems such as arthritis, osteoarthritis, etc. I actually have a story of my own, but it's quite long if you want to hear it pm me. Anyways, keep up the uploads, your videos are really interesting.
@azujevas A lot of the conditions are a result of poor lifestyle choices. I can say that we are by design meant to be PAIN FREE. The goal is to learn how to make that a reality.
@stretchexpert but you see, there are some things that you can't help about it, sometimes it's actually not your fault that you have some problems, for example, i was sick for 3 weeks and drank strong antibiotics, the doctor said it was strong pneumonia, but it seems that it hasn't been it, i wasted a lot of money, strength, time and the doctor didn't even tell what it was afterwards. I got pissed at her, and when i started to go to practice i started getting knee pain, 7months already w/ pain
fascinating vid coach, I have been impeded for what is around 5 years now, with what was first thought to be chondromalacia, and later diagnosed as patella tendonitis in both knees. It developed, I believe, from starting to play basketball 8 years ago with imbalanced quad/glutes, favouring the quads, and hardly ever stretching.
Now trying to correct that with understanding the knee joint and its attached muscles. What is your opinion on glucosamine sulphate 2Kcl as a supplement for knees?
@thecleanerleon First supplement is just that a supplement... it is not the real thing-- the real thing is developing greater sensory motor awareness and building on that.... our bodies are intelligent enough to know what it needs--- what makes us crave an apple? so i would suggest your keep learning about the hard-wire of your leg knee and begin to fine tune your awareness. This is what i teach when i work one on one. Keep getting better!
before even listening to your stuff here, i just want to say i completely agree with dynamic/ballistic stretching, and that static stretching can injury you.
haha i know all those names from anatomy...
and it all comes from your center of mass, aka the hips, back and low abs.
i think the best warmup for your whole leg is the motion of a kick as you swing back (use your glutes and hams and stretch ur hip flexors and quads) then kick which works the opposite side
@stretchexpert thnx bro, keep up the good work. I would love and I'm sure many others would love to see you do a vertical jump workout, they seem to rack a lot of views on youtube.
