Did we really believe that the world would change in 1984? That book was passed out by English teachers in my high school and we weren't really sure what was going to happen next but Dave survived and so did we...
when we were young sophmores in 74. we would get high and listen to this after school .we rwelly thought the future looked bleaked and no one relly seemed to care!
I've been a David Bowie fan for years, but I just listened to Diamond Dogs for the first time tonight. The album was definitely not my favorite of his, and I felt the songs lacked substance, but I think this was my favorite track.

That you were...one smart little kid...David played 2 shows to us in Toronto,Canada in one day...the matinee show at 2:pm and at 9:pm ...I was at both and kid, I wish you could have seen it..you sound like you really would have appreciated the show..David loves Canada, and T.O. is his fave city..his wife ,Iman shoots her Canada's next top designer here...
So amazing. Bowie is such a very important part of my life now.

I live on "Love Me" avenue. The neighborhood has been depressed lately due to the packs of dogs and the "loving" going on in the doorways. :)

Doesn't the beginning of Lady Gaga's music video for Born This Way sound a bit like Future Legend?
myggan15 9 months ago
@myggan15 I thought the same thing when I saw her video the other day for the first time. I'm not a gaga fan so I couldn't finish listening to it.

This sounds as though it might've been inspired by I Am Legend (the novella, not any of the shitty movies).
moparmonster1965 2 years ago 2
True, but it was actually inspired by George Orwell's 1984. It was actually supposed to be a concept album on 1984 but Bowie was denied the right
