I'd like to point out that this is how i used to wake up my brother, so it isn't necessarily a 'merthur' slash thing. Arthur should be glad merlin went for the dragging option I used to pull the pillow from under bro's head and thwack him in the face with it. Suppose that's what merlin will be doing next week lol

@tumblebugbydand .yeah but the fact that he is your brother take out the slash factor,unless you are dean and sam ,you can wrestle your brother on the floor ,give each other pigy ride with no tops on and it will still luck the sexual content just for the fact he is your brother,now replace your broither with someone else you are not related to and its a whole new ball game.arthur and merlin are not related so being all over each other while on is half dressed is slash.

i didn't mean for it to sound like i was saying it was definately not slash in this case, just that it wasn't necessarily the case. i dont think you can out and out lable it as slash as you just did (though this being arthur and merlin it is most likely lol)

There's been lots of Arwen and Mergana too, the other two biggest ships ;) They're satisfying everyone, putting something good in every episode for every couple. There's been humour, darkness, epicness, fight scenes, romance & bromance in every single friggin episode!!!! :D

@anyusa0030 Merlin and Morbitch were friends back in S 1 & 2--but Merlin was also friends with Gaius and Gwen too, do you think he was shipping them as well? I know people see what they want to see but there's times when it is so far from what is obviously intended that it is astonishing. The torture/mind control scene was just that--torture and mind control. Particularly "shippy" was how she kicked him when he was out cold. Oh well, we can agree to disagree.

@gatepromise they were more than friends in season 1, it was obvious. It was also canon in s1, go look up the Merlin comic con panel - Colin and Katie and the writers talked about how Merlin and Morgana were kind of like each other's forbidden love. Not feelings they ever really admitted to, but they were the love interest they never really pursued fully for the sake of the characters.

Just like Armor was also canon in s1 - the writers were leaving it all very open at that point.

@gatepromise I can understand why people don't ship them, but just cos you don't ship them, doesn't mean others can't, and you don't have to bash each others ships, it's stupid. They were canon in season 1, a sort of 'will they-wont they' kind of thing, but after the ship became AU, but that doesn't make it any less fun to ship.

As for Armor - that's a HUGE part of the Legends, (Mergana is in some Legends). In s1 they kept all their options open, but pursused Arwen because it's a family show etc

Notice how he could have used magic at ANY point during that whole episode, and kicked her ass!! But he didn't ... Now yeah, he has to keep his magic secret, but when his life is in danger and he's pushed to the edge, you'd think he'd push that aside and save his behind. He let her hurt & enchant him because he couldn't do anything to her - not because he wasn't powerful enough, because he didn't want to.

@FireflyFanatic3 I believed he didn't use his magic there because he was injured and weak and didn't know the extent of her powers. I also believe that he, unlike her, has a conscious and will only kill when absolutely necessary, and then only as a last resort. They were friends once, sure, but the kind of relationship you speak of exists only in fandom and certainly isn't appropriate for a family show.
