well that was a little pointless, that Eliica is built to break records so why race it against a 4 banger? there is a Elicca built for acceleration and one for top speed, the top speed one does 230 and i dont know how quick it might be, but the acceleration one does 60 in 4 seconds and tops out at 120mph, the one in this video was probably the acceleration model, should have ran that Eliica against a veyron

wtf?!?! the Eliica has 8 wheel drive, and a total of 640bhp, and they did race from a start and the Evo was smoked!! also all 4 of the front wheels turn so it can take corners, and i'd imagine quite well for a cor of its size due to the 8 wheels. And to me it looks like a simple acceleration test, so theres no need to be in full racing gear for that.

BTW All the 'hype' over hydrogen being the future is because, using the steam reforming method. Hydrogen can be derived from hydrocarbon chains in crude oil. Basically so that the multi-trillion dollar sector doesn't bottom out. EV's should be the way forward, the infrastructure is already there!!! Hopefully solar power tech will improve, and I truly hope scientists crack 'nuclear fusion' which is the power source of the sun. 1 sec of sunlight could power the USA(im from UK) for a million years!

A flat torque and hp curve, actually a line, from 500rpm to 10000rpm or whatever rpm the engine is built for. Can't beat that kind of power band, that is ideal. Research, learn and then speak. They actually need to detune that crap and control the power through computers that sense speed ect.

And about the weight of it... It can be adjusted for equal weight distribution and easier than a regular car because it doesn't have a "gas tank"

But it shud be interesting to se how fast an electric powered bike can be. The Eliica weigh 2,4 tons (2,64 US tons) - there are probably some problem with the placement and weight of the batteries on a bike.

Any EV is very strong from a standing start, and because EVs can put their weight-- the batteries-- at the very bottom of the body, they have extremely low centers of gravity, and the weight can also be adjusted from front to rear for balance, making them excellent at cornering. To know this is true, all you have to do is search You Tube for all the vids of EVs trouncing Ferraris, Porsches, Vipers, Corvettes, etc.

neat car. electrics are great overall compare to internal combustion. Instant torque and power to the wheels, less moving parts, more reliable, no emissions (with regards to the car), more efficient (average engine gets 15-20% energy from gasoline, most efficient engine overall is diesels on supertankers which is like 50% energy efficient) I'm still sad that the only commercially available one now is the tesla.
