i was on a school bus of my sixth grade field trip. that day coming back from Omaha. we visited the zoo and we were so scared. we couldn't even see. we were praying and crying. it was a very emotional day.
I just moved back to Nebraska, and now spend a lot of time in Hastings. I think I see one intersection where I'm NOT going to go when it's raining heavily!
In the first part of that video, is that flooding AND hail, or is the hail just so deep that it looks like water?

during the first storm we didnt have any of our windows taken out in the storm. We lived on north st joseph street back then. it was kinda scarry becuase i had to run back to my house in the middle of the storm to get my dog. i was glad that i didnt get hit with any hail
Yeah, that May 11th storm was huge. Both my wife's car and my truck were totaled. We also had to replace our roof on our house and shop! Our church lost all the windows on the east side. I was at work when it happened. My wife had just got home from her job when it hit. There was very strong rotation so they sounded off the sirens as well. Won't forget that Wednesday evening any time soon!
Dude, I live in Hastings!!!!!!!!!! Awesome. Yeah those were really F***ed up storms. I remember walking outside when the 2005 storm hit and our porch had so mush hail on it, like almost knee deep.

I Live in Hastings... this was the worst thing
i live in the northern part right outside of town. we only got hail about the size of golf balls. we did find on the size of an Eillens cookie though
east and south of town wer hit the hardest

I from Hastings but I was in Florida when this storm hit. The interesting part? We were reeling from one hurricane and getting prepared for Katrina.
