Well I think I will stick to my regular vegan diet for now but my husband and I have talked about doing two months out of the year raw to start (one month every six months). I think this will act kind of like a gentle body cleanse, after the research I've done on it. I really like the philosophy and I'm willing to give it a shot. I just gotta go buy a sprouting kit! Hehe. Do you guys get rid of your stoves and microwaves? Just curious.
but you must have to buy stuff constantly. And I'm LDS, and as part of my religion, they recommend we have 1 years worth of food stored in our home. It would be next to impossible to store 1 years worth of raw food. However, at the moment I have increased my raw intake % from about 30% to about 60%. I am eating a lot of raw fruits and vegetables and nuts and I have included more sprouts in my diet. It feels pretty good . . . one step at a time!
Yeah it will be a body cleanse for 2 months out of the year, but the other 10 months you'll just be polluting your body once again. Why undo 2 months of work?
right now I'm vegan but I cook most of my food. I eat a lot of cooked grains and vegetables. I am eating 500% better than I was when I was eating creatures. I just want to know what is different about being a raw food consumer versus plain vegan. I'm just curous not looking to pick a fight.
@vcanucksv we have "complex carbohydrate digestive enzymes" in our saliva which breaks down carbs and absorbs enzymes before food ever reaches our stomach. Also an extreme environment for one life form is home to others, we absorb living enzymes from the mouth and digestive tract all the way to the somach and to the small and large intestine, all the way through the consumption-excretion process we absorb enzymes vitamins and minerals so we can get the most out of our food.
Nothing else like it! Nothing and it's so basic that once you get to that point where it becomes a part of you, you feel like you had been misled and wonder why you never were told this before. Pure awesome goodness!

It's all about the enzymes. You're destroying the plants' natural enzymes by heating them.
consuming enzymes that are intact will make a big difference in your life/health. Just try...

yes, but those intact enzyme wont even survive the acidic environment of your stomach. so what's the real difference, you tell me.
