With less manpower, less advanced weaponry and virtually no tanks or aircraft. The Dutch couldn't stop the Luftwaffe from bombing major cities (like Rotterdam) and were forced to surrender. But the battles they had fought, they fought as hard as they could.

@wow7824 It's not Bren, It's Vz.26. When Germans invaded Czechoslovakia they adopted it to use inside Wehrmacht. Bren was based on the Vz.26.

Also it may be Bren, but Germans also captured many of em in 1940 and some units started to use em.
