I have been involved in chemistry for more then 20 year, and also worked with emissions as well as catalysts. I feel that the global warming discussion always is directed to control emissions be new regulations and taxes. I actually feel that the real problem is somewhere else. That is related to the constantly required growth in the economy. It is much more ecological to buy local products than support the giant global corporations. This alone would reduce the emissions.

The earth's temperature has made it's changes on it's own. Pollution should be reduced but look at the bastards telling the average everyday person it's our faults? There is a mechanism to defeat global warming, it's called the ice caps.

Unfortunately, the ice cap, every time it refreezes every winter, is freezing shallower and shallower, and smaller and smaller.

An estimate is that the earth's capacity to maintain a reasonable temperature is well over 50% depleted.

The issue is that supply and demand rule that the majority of the cost of cap and trade will land in the profit margin, in the consumer's pocket. Companies obviously do not like this.

We`can refute your idiotic remark very easily, Global temperatures are WAY UP, and many states are breaking heat records. your isolated little area is not the Earth, which is, according to 90% of Scientists, heating at an advanced rate due to man's pollution.

The last 11 years were the hottest in the last 400 years, and perhaps longer, records only go so far back. Global Warming is a fact, it's also a fact that it's man-made.

Also, look at the Southwest U.S., the current tempertaures, as cited in our accurate video, are breaking records right and left. Anamolies will always occur, however, if you look at the whole planet, the temperature is going higher and higher, far more rapidly than over the last 400 years, a telling sign. Read Hanson's research, he's the most informed scientist on our planet. 11 of the last 12 years were the warmest on record, and 2009 is shaping up to be HOTTER, not cooler. FACT trumps spin.
