  • i am so glad i didnt buy that scanner. i was about tobuy it but discovered that radioshack had the same product with a lot better quality and for the same price as the flimsy uniden. The store clerk at the radioshack store let me use a uniden on display and that thing is a piece of crap. Heed my advise, buy the radioshack PRO-164 or the radioshack PRO-404. It is a lot better quality and works a lot better and is a whole bunch easier to program.

  • what is the distance you test ? what is maximum effective distance you can hear sound well.. thanks

  • I would love to be a cop and harass you for being a suspicious vehicle. Joking, expecting my Uniden BC95XLT this week. Trunking, digital, ect. is just to expensive so thought I would start from the bottom and see the basics.

  • i have a Uniden BC95XLT Scanner

  • how do u have that moutned on the dash?

  • @venn54 there was a U shaped peice of metal that i stuck inbetween the top and bottem parts of the dash that the belt hook of the radio could clip to

  • Is it illegal to have a scanner and listen to the police?

  • Not in Australia, However most cities have digital, encrypted transmissions, so you are unable to listen. Perth (where this video was taken) is digital.

  • @flats118 yeah i think all of australian police have digital now so u cant listen but this is the transit gaurds of perth public transport.

  • Yeah, I occasionally listen to 418.3. I've got the same scanner.

  • @Joshx2iPac no its only illegal if u use it to do sumfin illegal Eg. evade the police or prosecution
