  • IS THE DRUM OKAY?

  • Oh man. That's embarrassing. Poor snare player. Accidents happen. Good thing this wasn't finals lol

  • human

  • Ouch that's embarrassing

  • its ok a trumpet from the Scouts fell that night also lol

  • I love this show!!! VB is a great place every year!

  • and he made it back to his drill spot in time for the horns down... amazing

  • @jfrimet

    priceless

  • SYPATHY POINTS!!!!!!! just asking if anyone knows, didnt one of the horns on cavies trip at finals in like 02 right ontop of the W in the field. it was in wisconson.

  • lol I don't think they would've gotten the score they did if someone fell mid-field...

  • @thsma2009

2001, it was in Buffalo and it was on the Bills logo. The 02 finals show was practically flawless.

  • @supercellcoaster OH YEAH! lol.

  • Here's a few shows you'll want to watch if you want to see people fall. 2005 cadets, in the opener, a contra falls. Blue devils 2004, you have to watch it on percussion cam, but when they're marching off the field a tenor player falls. And you'll probably have to get on the fan network to see this one, 2009 Spirit in the Georgia Dome show, the percussion judge trips a trumpet player. Falling is not really all that uncommon in DCI. I feel it for the people who do, especially drummers

  • Didn't you mean 2002 Cadets? Nobody fell in 2005.

  • That's exactly what I meant, I just hit the wrong key. Sorry about that

  • That guy got chewed out SOOOO bad after that lol probably got cut =(

  • He wasn't cut, and they didn't even really say anything: just a stupid accidental fall-he tripped himself

  • Why would they cut someone already in a spot, they would just screw themselves over by making an un-needed hole.

  • they wouldn... lol, not for falling. haha

  • Corps have alternates to replace the main members, you know.

  • @svolypet no they don't. Not this late in the season .

  • Maybe the Cadets don't. But I know some corps that carry alternates for the entire season...

  • @svolypet i haven't heard of one.

  • Carolina Crown...for one...

  • @svolypet ...your kidding... i'm audition for crown T.T well this sucks. But i still love you for telling me that. lol.

  • Well...I don't know about percussion or colorguard. But I know for sure that Crown carries alternates for brass throughout the whole season. And the best thing is, if you stick with being an alternate until the season is over, they give you half of the money you spent on tour fees back to you.

I think Blue Stars and/or Troopers do this, too. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • I do just love watchin ppl bite it in Drum Corps.

  • Why? That's sad.

  • Because no matter how hard we fall... Our recovery is always gonna be awesome and quick... like in 02 Cadets, that was as good as recovery as he coud've done.

  • Was that when that contraplayer fell i saw that, man he was high tailing it to his spot :)

  • yea, I feel for him... Bein a Contra Player myself, Especially being on the DVD like that...

  • I soo remember that, thank God he was just got up and ran on as fast as he coulkd to his spot

  • That's the only way to do it. lol

  • i think the worst part for the snare player was that he missed the ending impact! i would feel so awful if i especially missed those haha

  • i feel for this dude. i fell with a bass drum on and it sucks but luckly i only fell during a practice.

  • I march Contra, and recovery is ehh not too difficult, chase your horn and get back in... but how do you even have a good recovery if you have a drum on. it just seems like there is no way to recover good.

  • There is no good way to recover, you just have to hope to god that your drum didnt come off ur carrier and get back to ur spot as fast as you can. But like me i have one of the biggest instruments so no matter what people are going to see it.

  • we have 2 rules about falling while marching

    1. if your gonna fall, fall back. SAVE THE DRUM.

    2. if you dont save the drum then you are [CUT] FROM THE LINE.

    sucks huh.

  • oh dude theres only 1 rule where i come from. u fall your gone

  • i feel for this guy. great show cadets

  • wow okay so im wondering for people in dci groups, what do you do as another performer in this situation, do you march over him or around or what??? message me

  • You do whatever is best for the situation. Usually what will be noticed the least.

Everyone takes a spill every now-and-then...

  • @kisstheband

over him if someone falls and hes in the way and you cant avoid him without messing up drill he will get steped on. sadly it usually leads to more tripping

  • God, that sucks. I usually laugh my guts out when a bunch of fat sousas pile up on each other in a marching band. But this is kind of depressing :(

  • Sucks falling with quads.. thats hard as hell to get up with..

  • damn feel sorry for the guy that fell! It's hella hard to get right back up with that damn drum on!

  • OH MY GOSH!!

    that really sux

and at a big climax in the show too.......

    i feel for him

it has happened to me at practice....

  • wow ouch! nice video. btw if you skip to about 1:22 thats when it happens (if you don't feel like watchin the whole video)

  • the video is only a minute and a half, but ya about 1:22 if you want to skip ahead

  • maybe if they didnt have so much narration they wouldnt have snares falling so much

  • People speaking doesn't make people trip.

  • people speaking does make drum corps suck though!

  • i dont know... i mean this video seems to be evidence that your statement is false and mine is true. but then again people tend to believe what they see/hear so what kind of logic is that

  • youre retrarded

  • says the person who spells retarded wrong

  • obviously that was a typing error and not a spelling error fuckhead

  • i bet

  • LMFAO!

  • That sucks sooooooo bad that he fell! Is there only 3 tenors in the line or more?? I forgot lol

  • Never seen a Cadets snare go down in a live performance. Sweet

  • hope the drums ok..... haha =]

  • In the good old days of Drum Corps, the judges would penalize the corps. Now, they award the performance.

  • Wow. He went down hard. I hope he was ok.

  • It was that chord. it was so beautiful and intense, it caught him off guard and he fell.

  • Man, that was a nasty fall. Does he know this is up here?

  • Joel is such a bag of shit

  • Aaaaand that's why judges award recovery points. Lucky for him it was at the end of a movement...

  • Is the drum ok?

  • haha

  • I love seeing people fall and make mistakes in DCI it just shows that even in the best corps in the world, they still make mistakes.... still human

  • no it wasn't

  • nevermind, that wasn't Scott.

  • Was that Scott that fell?

  • I have no clue.

  • i think hes on the same side as tirado?

  • Comment removed

  • and.....no one cares

  • wow, that would be terrible...

the tenor solo was so watered down then.... the real version is super awesome, but that was just kinda like....idk...not super awesome...

  • OMG that was so funny haha!!!! did you see him roll. god ill be laughing at that for a long time. but dang that drill was crazy!!!! id prolly do the same thing.

  • thats what happens when you march off the right foot :P

  • HAHAha

  • i was there man they where good even if dude fell down but the bast was the ones that did songs from movies cause they like laid down and kept playing it was nuts!

  • Maybe all that narration got him confused.

  • lol

  • lmfao; that's not nice ;)
